Our Nature Walk
Posted in Inside our Homeschool Room

This is my first post for a Friday Show and Tell, I have been seeing this around and have wanted to join, thanks Canada Girl for hosting this.
I really want to implement nature walks more into our learning adventure. They are in our schedule but life always seems to swoop in and overtake our plans. A few weeks ago we were able to grab out nature journals and enjoy some time out at a park in the vastness of nature. Superman and T-Rex both really enjoyed themselves as we walked around the park examining His creation and discussing all of the wonderful things that we saw. I was so pleased at how much they enjoyed not playing but just learning.

I just loved to be outside in His presence exploring His truly amazing creation together as a family. It always leaves me standing in awe of His works and when I am in the midst of it all I am reminded of how great He is and I can see how everything around me praises it's maker, the Almighty God.
JOYfully in Him,Kelli

Looks like a wonderful place for a nature walk. With my oldest doing botany for science this year, we've been taking lots of nature walks around our property and noticing all kinds of great things we'd overlooked before.

So glad you could join S&T!
The nature walk looked very fun. I'm truly a believer of starting kids out early like the nature books etc. They'll only do better and better each time!
My kids are 13,11, and 9...and they do so wonderful I can take them anywhere and try anything and they're game. Keep up the good work!
You childre are beautiful....:)

I am also glad you joined us. You have a beautiful blog. I find it a challenge to keep our weekly nature walks going. This week it is canceled due to my cold and lack of energy. I enjoyed your show & tell very much.

Wow! Superman and T-Rex are really into their nature walks. We haven't done a nature walk in awhile. I'm sure this will be coming up soon. We enjoy going on them when it snows at our local state shore park, walking through the cypress tree area.
Blessings,
Debbie

Nature study is something I keep meaning to do, but just never seem to get around to, at least as far as scheduled time for it is concerned.
Your nature walk was inspiring to me!
Thank you for sharing!
Blessings,
Jen

Looks like they had a wonderful time on their nature walk. I know how hard it is to actually get out and do it.

I like the picture where your son is trying to draw the branch - that is such a good idea to teach them to draw.
