Jan. 4, 2008 - Finally Home

Man, I am SO tired and SO sore...but I'm also SO relieved. We are now completely moved in to our apartment!

I've been waiting for over a month for someone with a trailer to help me get our washer, dryer, freezer, piano, bed frames, box springs, etc. moved. A few people offered to help months ago but for one reason or another, they never got around to doing it. Finally on Wednesday, a friend of a friend (who just so happens to be a woman....a VERY STRONG WOMAN!) rented a trailer and helped me move the rest of our stuff. Actually, I helped HER! She did at least 75% of the work. I thought I was strong but compared to her, I'm a weakling! After 2 days of moving, she felt fine and my arms felt like spaghetti (And still do!). Would you believe we moved a piano by ourselves? And down stairs nonetheless! I thought for sure we'd need guys to help with that puppy! The good thing was after moving that, everything else seemed light as a feather. Well, maybe not THAT light...

Ah, now this place feels a little more like home. (What a difference a washer and dryer make...and a piano!) Now I'm going to get off the computer and crawl into my my nice, comfortable bed which is now no longer just a mattress on the floor! I'll bet I sleep like a rock tonight...

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. Handsome and I have wanted to do the FPU (Financial Peace University for those of you who are wondering) but it just has not worked out in the plans yet.
We know what you mean about people not wanting to get on board. We have thought about offering to pay for Handsome's parents to go to the seminar but have decided that it would be a waste of our money since his Mom would probably sleep through the whole thing and they would still fight over finances anyway.
I hope you and your family start having some peace now and are able to get on your feet financially and stay on them.
