Jul. 21, 2006 - Back to School?

Somebody help me here. Does it seem the summer gets shorter and shorter every year? Why are we having "back to school" sales in early July? I already missed Walmart's sale on markers and paper! I almost feel the summer has evaporated altogether.

I guess it's just like any other season of life. Before you know it, it's over. I'm learning to cherish the "now" moment though. As C. S. Lewis says, the present moment is our only connection with eternity.

Summer does get shorter every year, I think, and Christmas shopping season lasts longer too! I think Wally-World starts putting up tinsel and trim around September.

I found your blog via the Random Blog button and have read it from first post to last. You have such a beautiful family! We also have 5 children. Four girls and a boy...Our boy being the oldest.

I just love the idea of having Mother/Daughter teas! I have been looking into getting a nice but practical tea service for the last several days. My girls are 7 1/2 months, 2 1/2, 5 and 6 so practical is the key word here...Any suggestions?
They have taken quite good care of the tiny ceramic set my grandmother got them, so maybe we're ready for something nice.
