When Dad Is Missing - Focus on the Family
I recently requested the CD "When Dad Is Missing" from Focus on the Family.
It really speaks to the need for mentoring, especially by Christian men
to young boys being raised by single moms, boys who do not have a Dad
to teach them how to be godly Christian men.
This CD also addresses the dangers of secular programs such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, in mentor Christian children.
Focus requests a donation of $9 for this CD but will send it free of charge, if you are unable to make a contribution.

How many times has my son said, 'I want a dad!'. It breaks my heart. It's not like I can go to Wal-Mart and buy one. He understands that.
In this day and age, finding a good man for a mentor and role model isn't any more likely in church than it is in the population at large. And that's even sadder than the problem at hand.
Come, O come, Lord Jesus!
