Sometimes companies contact me and ask if they can send in their products for review.  I hate doing reviews (for the most part) because it is too time consuming, but when Kate from Big Brainz emailed me and said she wanted to send a copy of their new computer video game. TIMEZ ATTACK I said, “Sure, but send two because if I like it then I will blog it and put one up as a contest”

I am glad I agreed to have a look at this program… and my kids are overjoyed.

I kid you not, my children want to do nothing but play this game.  It reminds me of BoBo’s Lord of the Ring game where characters have to walk around and figure things out and then battle against bad guys.  In other words, it is fun and has challenging elements that make kids want to play.  But here’s the kicker, when you get certain keys, you have to defeat *bad guys* by entering in proper multiplication answers.  Check out their website for an idea of how it plays.  This game is very cool. I’ve had a lot of fun watching them play.  Even my my excellent husband thought it was neat, and he thinks pretty much everything is lame.  

I’ve never seen an ‘educational video game’ that plays like this.   

As a side note, there is nothing graphic what-so-ever in this.  When you kill the bad guys they simply flop over or they *poof* disappear.  It is neither violent nor gruesome.  It’s just fun.  One of you will win this game.  To win, you must be the LAST person to leave a comment before I post my next entry.   I will check this page and see who the last commenter is and then announce them as the winner in my next post.  Good luck!!

If you ever need help doing some reviewing, let me know!! I've done Mystery Shopping before.....where you visit a restaurant or other establishment and comment on the employees, how the place looks, the food, etc.

then,
go to Considering God's Creation - Use Unit 9 and go through each of the body's systems: digestive, integumetary, muscular, etc...spend one week minimum on each system.

Sounds like a good product. My dd is very visual and actually learns better by computer or video. And don't let her age confuse you over my desire for this product -- if I don't get her going on something like this now, she'll teach herself macrobiology in the meantime! These overachievers, I tell ya ... I realize God chose me for her, but some days I wonder if He really chose her for me. ; )

That's my lesson for tonight.

You are all so funny! But I have to say that the logic isn't workin' -- Jen said she wouldn't post until about 3 pm eastern time. That means we all need to get back on at around 10 her time to continue then.

Don't even try to stay up late enough to keep on top of it. I'm just tellin' ya ... I've been trained in sleep deprivation and there's no way you can beat me! (Architecture school was good for something after all!) So don't even try ... you'll make me stay up just to beat you, and I can't afford baggy eyes tomorrow. ; )

So let's see ... that's noon my time ... might be able to sneak in a post between my haircut and Bible study, as long as I can make dh promise to get off the computer at 11:15 ... I might still have a chance. Maybe not ...

...actually, I had to stay up this late, because I just found out that there may be more people than I thought joining our getaway to the home school conference and I needed to nab more hotel rooms, which are going like gangbusters in the metropolis of Harrisburg, PA. But their computer didn't come back up for another half hour, so I had to keep staying up so I could nab some of the last four double rooms in the hotel. And I did! Plus, I want to be the last person to post tonight. i don't even feel the need to win this prize anymore. i just want to be the last person to post before morning. Whenever that is. (Keep in mind, all logic flies out the window somewhere between 1:00 and 3:00 AM. Mine departed long ago.) At any rate, y'all out there on the west coast are making this pretty tricky.
