I love Eeyore!
Oct. 3, 2008 - Another Update On Jenny Love
I just wanted everyone to know that the dr put me on bedrest 1 week before my due date . Im soooooooooooo bored. but thats ok he must have a reason. Anyways heres whats going on. When i stand for more than a few minutes at a time or i start doing something my chest feels tight, then i have a hard time breathing. then my head feels like its spinning, then i start seeing black spots and sparkles and i get a headache. i had blacked out twice already since tuesday so that is why hr put me on bedrest. however i dont understand why he didnt just put me in the hospital and induce me. im due on the 8th of this month but i really REALLY dont want to have this baby on the 8th because that is the day that my friends daughter was killed in a car accident exactly one year ago from the 8th. So please be praying that it wont be that day and that my body starts doing something. my body is refusing to let me have this baby just as it did with my son. i havent done anything as far as dilating...losing the mucus plug, or anything. i would greatly appreciate your prayers.

I thought I would share a few thoughts that might help relieve some of your anxiety about your doctor's judgement. :-)
The fact that your doctor isn't in a hurry to induce you makes me think you have a very good doctor. The bad doctors are the ones that want to pick a certain day and induce to fit around their schedule or holidays. I know it's not very common for women to have natural labor and delivery in the U.S., but it is the healthiest way to go in most cases. Inducing you when your body isn't ready could cause you to have a worse labor. Any kind of drugs, whether it be an epidural or induction, come with risks. My son was born 8 years ago, and I still have back problems that I think were caused by my epidural. I'm not sure it was worth it.
Your due date is only an estimation. It can actually be off by a couple of weeks, so having the baby a couple weeks past isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I can understand how it feels at the end. You just want to be done with being pregnant. I remember that part! :-) Your symptoms might be from high blood pressure. I also had the thing with seeing stars. Just take it easy, relax, and try to be patient. Maybe your body isn't quite ready for delivery. :-)
Blessings and prayers,
Farrah
