A Cute Moment....

My ds 3 1/2 has been trying to figure out concepts like happiness, anger, love, etc. So this is a conversation we had this week......

"I love you."

"But not when I disobey?"

"I love you. I love you when you obey. I love you when you disobey. I love you all the time."

"Oh. I love you too."

So when we had a chance yesterday to go wandering through Walmart, just the two of us (I'm stalking the new Chandler's assignment books) this was our conversation......

"Mommy, I love you when you obey and I love you when you disobey. I love you all the time."

"I love you, too."

The older gentleman is our aisle was so tickled by our conversation. And I'm tickled that ds is starting to understand my love for him. Maybe he'll be one that doesn't doubt God's love for him.....
