"In Honor I act, with Action I serve." - Christopher, Guide of Shwahteylef; Book 1

Complete

RCD 2 is completely done now (minus professional editing). All of the pictures have been drawn and put in and properly formatted. Unfortunately, I don't know when I will be able to publish, as funds are short at the moment, however, I might decide to look into finding an agent for RCD.

The other book I mentioned is also finished, all 30,000 words of it ^^. I have recently submitted it to an agent and am waiting for a response. Hopefully it will be a positive one :P.

Wedding plans are also in motion. Yay! Got my dress, the flowers, and all of the essentials, so all is looking well.

Well, there's my short update. Back to life :P

Short Update

RCD2 is finished (not including pictures). My friend ( Fiancé :P) has edited halfway through, but due to classwork and lack of time, I'm going to have to wait, though, that'll give me time to finish drawing.

So yeah, I'm going to be married Aug. 1 this year. A lot has been going on since Christmas, as you can see. I'm also almost done with the first book of another series I'm writing. I believe this one will be even bigger (not in length but deepness of plot) than RCD. It is of a completely different genre, and I cannot begin to tell you how much I can't wait to get it out for people to read.

Anyway, just though I should pop on here and give an update on RCD and myself....

Almost Done

Book 2 is almost done. As of right now, it has over 112,000 words.
I only have one more scene to finish, and once I do that, I will give the story to my proofreaders (two friends) to read/search for plot issues/odd sentences/grammar mistakes. After they're done, I'll look through and make the proper edits and then send it off to the professional proofreader, and then, finally, send it into get published.

Before I do the final publishing, however, I need to finish the illustrations (23 of them). I have four, possibly five done (need to decide if I should use a picture I drew or not).

Classes are going well, though they are time consuming. Hopefully, book 2 will be into the publishing process by summer.

'Snow' Day!

Classes got canceled today ^^
So that means I have ALL DAY in my room to write! (cough...as well as time to do some homework......)

Evidently the roads are really icy. Many people are saying classes should have been canceled yesterday as well, due to the ice, but because of the basketball game last night, they didn't want to. They did anyway at 2, which ended up being after all of my classes, and then they said they were opening up the game to anyone FOR FREE. Of course, those with tickets were guaranteed a seat, but due to the weather, there were going to be a lot of empty seats and they didn't want that, due to it being on ESPN or something (just something I heard, not sure, because I didn't really pay attention, it was too cold, and I'm not a big fan of college sports).

Anyway, I don't think I've ever seen more people slip and fall. I fell once on the way to class, my friend fell three times, once pretty hard, and I must have seen at least five people fall between classes (which is a total of thirty minutes). It was utterly ridiculous. Oh, and I saw one guy on a bike fall, and I heard the crash from the other side of the court. Ouch.

Well, I'm going to get back to writing....

New Semester

Well, I am now getting into the new semester. Can't believe this is already the third week.
I have 4 engineering classes and one religion class. They all seem like they are going to be manageable, though all classes seem like that in the beginning, but I'm remaining hopeful.

As for how I'm doing on my series, I currently have over 108 thousand words for book two. I now just have to edit it all and finish writing the last two chapters. I am hopeful that by summer, the writing and editing portion of it will be done, as well as the drawings I have barely started....

Finals

Well, I'm now halfway done with finals... took Computer Methods and Systems. Tomorrow I have Engineering Design and then Friday I have Compressible Fluid Flow.

I am still working on book 2, but due to classes and stuff, it's a slow process. I'm still hoping to have it completed before the summer, though the exact date it will be published and out to the public... I don't know.

Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say right now, need to get back to studying (or attempt to :P).

College

Wow, it's been awhile since I've been on here.

Classes are extremely busy right now--projects, tests, homework and all of that.
I have two tests tomorrow... Computer Methods and Systems I. I had Compressible Fluid Flow today. Hopefully I'll do well on all of them.

Anyway, I am pretty sure bk 2 will go over 100K words now. It's over 98K now and I have three more chapters to go (two of which are going to be very different from how they currently are).

Right now, I don't know how soon bk 2 will be out. I had hoped to send it to my proofreader around Christmas, but at the moment that doesn't seem possible with my class load and life in general. Sigh...

Well, that's pretty much my update, need to get back to studying....

More Progress

Classes are going, though I'm definitely going to need to make sure I keep up with my homework. Other than that, they don't seem to be impossible or anything right now, though one might become a pain later on.

I have made a decent amount of progress where book 2 is concerned. I now have over 85K words. I found several things I'm going to need to improve and add to though (later chapters), which is going to probably add at least a few more thousand words when it is all said and done.

It is looking hopeful that I will have the final draft ready for professional editing by Christmas, but we'll see. I'm writing as often as I can, bouncing off from homework problems and back. Some interesting ideas have come from homework problems, believe it or not... though some of the best ideas have come during class, as weird as that may sound.

I have yet to draw much of anything lately for the chapters, but I am hoping it will all come to me in a burst (while I have time to actually draw).

Oh, since I forgot to write this in my previous entry, here are the classes I'm taking this semester if anyone is curious: Computer Methods, Compressible Fluid Flow, Engineering Design, and Systems I.

First Week

2:41 PM, Aug. 24, 2008 .. 6 comments .. Link
Well, I have finished my first week of classes and have fallen back into my routine. I only have 12 hours this semester, but they are all classes in professional school (MAE) so each of them are going to demand more time, but it should all even out.

I am continuing my work in book 2, and now have over 80 thousand words ^^. But I still have 25K words to go through and seriously edit. I'm pretty sure when it is all said and done bk 2 will have over 85K, which is more than bk 1.

I just got interviewed for the campus newspaper this week. The article will be in the Monday or Tuesday paper. It feels pretty weird being asked questions, having a picture taken and all of that, but at least life isn't boring.

*Back to writing*

Further Progress

9:11 PM, Jul. 16, 2008 .. 7 comments .. Link
Thought I'd give an update on the book's progress.

I now have over 73,000 words, though I still need to go through and edit about 25,000, which is included in the current total. I'm hoping to complete the 'final draft' before classes start, and then get a trusted friend to read it before sending it off to the proofreader, then the publishers.

I still have things to work on, obviously, but I've made good progress I think so far.

Also, I will be working on a 'worksheet' my mom suggested to create to go along with book 1, since I have been using Hebrew occasionally throughout it. It will include the Hebrew words I have used and their meanings. I think I'm going to take my time on it. I have research to do and stuff, since I will be using the Hebrew Alphabet, or rather Aleph-bet, and not only English letters.

Well, back to writing again.
