stucco, make-up, ultrasound, and contest

  I'm very bad at posting. =]  

  We finished the stucco on April 30th.  It's kinda funny, because Dad's goal was to get it done in April.  So, we got finished an came inside, and it was 11:53 PM.  LOL, we made it!! =D  Now we are getting ready to put new soffit in, and then we'll begin siding.

  I went to Walmart with Mom last Saturday in search of mineral make-up.  (I had been using the Cover Girl, but I was getting sick of how oily it was making my skin.)  Man, there is soooo much make-up at Walmart!  It was very hard to decide which one to get.  I ended up settling on the  Wet 'n Wild Ultimate Minerals line.  I really like it.  It is much more natural than cover-girl. 

  I don't know how many of you know, but  last month Mom went and Got an ultrasound done to see what the gender is.  We found out that it is a boy!!  =]  So, that will make 4 girls, and 2 boys.  The shape of his face looks very much like Micah's when he was born.  I'm really wondering how much Boy #2 (Since we aren't telling his name, that's what I'll call him for now.) will look like Dad and Micah.

"It's always an adventure when you're with Dad."

That's what Dad said last night, as we were walking along side US-30.  Wanna know what happened?  Let me start at the beginning.....

Yesterday Dad decided to get the battery in his little Fiero replaced (it was totally dead.)  So, the first thing we did was grabbed some jumper cables and got it started so her could back it into the garage, away from the cold wind.  We then got the battery out of the car and headed to town (in the van, of course.)  .  Everything went smoothly and, we got home around 6:15 (P.M.).  Everyone but Dad and I went to Grandma & Grandpa's house for supper.  (we had to stay to get his car back together and then we had planned to fix the toilet (yuck!). I think after Dad changed the air filter, cleaned the throttle body, and put in the new battery, it was around 7:50.  Dad then decided to drive it for a little bit.  We drove around for awhile, and were heading back home, on US-30.  All of the sudden, the back of the car (where the engine is held) started smoking.  Dad said that it might be an engine fire, and that we needed to get out.  We got out, and Dad started looking around.  There was a little fire going, and Dad was able to blow it out.  He noticed that a coolant pipe was broken (coolant was leaking all over the ground), and thought it probably blew when he revved it. Well, we had to start walking.  (Dad planned to get everything he needed, and then drive back out.) We were about 3.6 miles away from home.  I think it took us a little over an hour to get home.  Mom and the others weren't home yet, so I had to call her to let her know what happened.  Dad decided to just wait for mom to get home, so they could take the van out, and then he could drive the fiero back.  Dad got stuff rounded up and left around 10:20.  (during this time Megan and I were getting the kids ready and just hanging til they got back.)  What Dad thought had blown off actually wasn't the problem.  That pipe wasn't needed, and had been disconnected by the previous owner.  The problem was a little metal pipe that had rusted through and leaked all the coolant,causing it to catch on fire.  Anyways, once he found the problem he was able to fix it without a problem. They didn't get home until 12:40.  I was sooooo tired by then!  The next time Dad asks if I want to take a drive with him, I'll think twice. (ha-ha.)

Other than that, there hasn't been anything that happened to speak of.

On Friday, Dad is going to take the day off, and we're gonna head up to Topeka to get an ultrasound done.  I can hardly wait to find out what the baby is.  =D  After we've told family, I'll be able to tell all you blogger peoples.

Well, I gotta go, I'm babysitting Micah and Abi.  =]

It's April already?!

Wow, I can't believe it's already April.  Time is flying by!! 

Our van was acting really weird, and was very hard to get started last Sunday. So, on Monday, Dad changed all the spark plugs, a cap, and wires that go from one set of spark plugs to the other set.  That fixed it.  I am really glad that it didn't turn into a big deal, and that he was able to get it fixed in one night!

Lately we have been working on  getting all the trim onto the constructin house.  Dad and Megan just finished gettin it all on yesterday.  They were out working in the rain because Dad wanted to get it all on.  Now we need to put anchors in between the screws,to ensure it stays in place.  After that we'll get felt paper on it, and then put that metal mesh stuff on it.  

We have really been working to get Zarah potty-trained.  She's now able to wear panties during the day.  That sure was a big deal to her when mommy came home with "pretty panties" (that's what she calls them.)   . =]  She has done really good. 

Last Friday, mom was ordering some clothes from Chadwicks.  I had already been eyeing some shoes for quite some time,  and decided to get them.  I ended up just having to go with a ladies size 10, because that was the biggest they had.  Fortunately, they fit.  =]  They ended up getting here yesterday, and I LOVE them.  I guess I'll show a picture of what they look like.  

I got the tanish ones. I would have considered getting the white ones, but they didn' have any in the right size.    They actually aren't even as dark as they look in the picture, they're closer to white.  Too bad they don't have any denim slides, that would have been really cool!!  I also like a pair of flip flops they have.  If mom would decide to order again, I would probably get a pair.  Here's what they look like:

Here's a real post!

Well, I guess that I'll post now.  =]

 Soooo, I've gotta think about something to post about here......

  A friend of Memaw's , Jan, was diagnosed with stage 4  pancreatic cancer.  I think she was diagnosed about a month and  a half ago, and at the time they gave her 2-3 months to live.  She has said no to chemo, and is on a strict diet consisting of veggies (mainly juiced, I think.) and raw liver.  She is really trying to do natural stuff, which is good.  Would y'all please pray for her?  I am really praying that she won't be swayed by the doctors that are wanting her to take chemo!

On Tuesday, I helped Dad rip treated lumber for the trim that goes around the house.   We want to get up early tomorrow, because we would like to get it all up.  So, I want to make sure to get to bed at a reasonable time tonight, so I won't feel like crap in the morning.  =]  After that's trim is up, we'll start stucco-ing (is that a word?) it.  

The past few days I have been working on cleaning my clothes out, and boxing stuff that is too small for me.  One of my favorite zip-up jackets is now too small.  =[  I loved that thing!!   Haha, then I found and tried on a pair of jeans I wore like 2 years ago.  Lets just say they didn't fit me like they had 2 years ago.  LOL I can't see how girls can wear them like that!!  It made me feel naked!  Anyone agree???  LOL

Earlier, I went to the cabinent to get a can of mushrooms out, and a can fell out, and hit my left thumb.  =[  It tore my cuticle away from my thumb.  That hurt sooo bad.  It was throbbing for quite awhile.

It's time

I guess it's probably about time to post again.  =]  I'm not very good about posting often.  I have so many things I like to look at on the internet, it's kinda hard. 

About two weeks ago we all caught a nasty cold.  Zarah has caught a cold again.  I  really hope that we don't all get it

So, how is everybody's school going?  It going pretty good here.  A few weeks ago I got completely finished with my spelling.  I think I finished with an A+ average.  (Reading lots has helped me bunches!)  Mom is going to start me on Rosetta Stone Spanish.  I really hope that goes well. 

For a few days it has been around 50* outside.  It is kinda dreary out today though.  =[   It had been really nice when it was sunny and 50-ish!  I can't wait for summer to get here!!  I have gotten really sick of all the snow.   =]

I am thinking about getting rid of my friends list on my sidebar, and putting up a  list of blogs I look at frequently.

Stuff....

Well, I didn't really know what to title this.  LOL

Lately I have been looking around the internet for modest swimsuits for the heck of it.  I think that my favorite line is Swim Modest .  I about died when I saw the prices though.  It's  $81 shipping included!  I guess it being made special, and being made in the U.S. can make it expensive.  I got on Ebay, and found an Ebay store that sells swimsuits that are similar for about $60.

Thursday night, I was going thru old pictures, and I realized that my Great-Great-Great Grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Pifer's right eye is more closed/squinted than his left.  Dad and I are the same way, and my Great Great Aunt was like that as well.  It's cool that it's gotten passed down.  It's kinda funny I saw that, because just a week and a half ago I was wondering who Dad and I had gotten that from.

On Friday, shortly after Mom got the little ones up, Zarah was saying she was tired and wanted to go back to bed.  (Which is very odd for her!) So, we ended up putting her back in bed until 3 PM.  She had a fever of 100 *.  She did want to eat though, so Mom had her sit at the table and eat a banana.  After about 3 bites, she put the banana down and started rubbing her eyes, and swallowing tons.   (I'm sitting beside her thinkin'  "Oh man,")  Before we could grab anything, she puked.  =[  Luckily, the table caught most of it, and we were able to grab a towel to sop it up.  After she puked, her fever went down.  She ended up going back to bed until about 7 PM.  She was able to keep the lemon-lime soda down, and gradually started eating food again,  thank the Lord.  None of the rest of us have caught whatever she had. 

This past weekend we have been working on getting returns in for our furnace.  Dad has been sanding, and cutting, so we have saw dust everywhere.  I think that the majority of it has been swept/cleaned up. 

Well, I gotta go.

Some Pictures!!

I have been sooooo bad about posting!!  What I had originally meant to post is really tooo old to post.  (what I was talking about in the entry happened over 3 weeks ago!!! LOL)  So, I decided to post some pictures that I took this last Saturday. 

 Here's Zarah, Micah, and Megan.  I think that Zarah was telling me something when I took it.  LOL

Haha, this^^^  is what Zarah does when you ask her to close her eyes.  It hilarious, she'll lower her eyebrows and roll her eyeballs around.  LOL

Here is Micah on the top level  of his playhouse.  He spends alot of time up there.  =]

Megan in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies.  YUM!!

Megan took this one of Abi.  This little girl constantly has her hands in her mouth!!  I think that Megan forgot to zoom in!  oopsies.

Abi is standing up on her own lots more.  So far, 3 steps at one time has been the most.  I'm sure it won't be long before she is walking around trying to get into stuff.  LOL

Well, that's all for now.  I don't want to use up all of my photo space on here.  I have tried to use that img src code, but it messes up.  What is weird is that it worked for quite some time, and then when I went to post pictures last June, it started doing that to me.  I don't know what the heck is wrong.  If anyone has any idea what the deal might be, let me know!
