Hey everybody out there. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I was going to do it last week, but I couldn't. I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did. Our grandmother came up for Thanksgiving. But now she's back in Alabama. Speaking of Alabama, their football team just won the SEC Championship against Florida on Saturday. Yes!! Last week we finally finished putting up our Christmas decorations. It was so much fun. The tree, the nativity set, and everything else is up and ready. As we were putting up all those decorations, I was reminded of the true reason of Christmas. Jesus Christ. And it makes me sad to think that some people don't belive in Him. Some people think that Christmas is all about the presents. And it isn't. Christmas is about His birth, singing praises to God, and for remembering what happened to Jesus after He was born. All the miracles He performed, all the lives He changed, and His death and resurrection. I hope that next year more people will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Well that's all for now. Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. School has been a little tough. This week was our last week of school before Christmas break. Yesterday we went to homeschool co-op. We did a skit in drama class and in art class we drew a blanket with a jar and rolling pin on it. Then, later that day, we went to the Moore's house for family night. We ate chilli, played capture the flag, and had a wonderful time. The Moores are just a wonderful, Christian family and I love every one of them. Next Wednesday our grandmother is coming up for Thanksgiving. I can't wait. Well, I will end this entry with something from my copywork book. I'm back. Today I want to blog about the book I'm reading. I'm reading a biography about John Bunyan. It's a really good book so far. I'm almost done with it, but I thought I would put up some quotes that I like from it. 1. "God will take care of me so long as I am doing His will." 2. "If it means imprisonment for preaching the Gospel, Bitsy, it will just have to mean that. I cannot defile my conscience, when God has done so much for me, by withholding the Word of Life to others just because a corrupt government says I cannot preach without a license." This is my very first blog entry. I'm so excited! I'm in the 8th grade. We have chickens, guineas, and three dogs. Oh, we got our first egg from the chickens today. It's so little! I have two brothers and one sister. Lauren is 18, Andrew is 15, and David is 13. Last night we went to our friends' house for Bible study. They have three boys. One of them is a one year old baby, Titus. For the first time I watched him, put his pjs on, and rocked him to sleep. I was so excited! It was my first opportunity to dress a baby and rock it to sleep. Thank you, Jaime! TaTa for now! |
