May. 31, 2005 - From Elizabeth's and Anna's Novak's Nature JournalsMay 31st, 2005 I was up by Mrs. Krafts house calling back to the Cardinal. I decided to see if I could find the Catbird so I went in the back of her house. I sat down by the little tree by her door. All of the sudden a bird flew from the little tree, startling me. I looked up into the branches of the little tree and saw a nest. I decided to see if there were any eggs in the nest. So I climbed the tree and reached my hand into the nest. There were four blue eggs. I ran down to mom and said, I found another nest with four blue eggs in it! By this time, Eric was awake. Mom told him to take the camera and go and take some pictures. I showed him where the nest was and he took pictures of the nest and I took pictures of the eggs. May 30th, 2005 Going Fishing Dads home, I said, as I washed the last dish. I dried my hands and ran out the door. Mom had put her chair under the big tree by our garage. Dad brought his chair and sat down beside her. We fed the chickens then Eric came outside and said, This would be a good day to go fishing! I said, Oh! I want to go! Can we go today? Dad said, Go check the worms. I did. They were all still alive. Dad said, Then were going. We all got ready to go and got in the car. It was a short ride to the Forest Preserve. When we got there we got all the fishing poles and all the other stuff and went down to the pond. I caught the first fish. It was pregnant at the time but I did not know it. We caught and caught and that is all that we did there. Wait
am I forgetting something? At the end of all of our fishing, Eric and I caught two big Bluegills. The End May 31st, 2005 A moth was flying. It landed and I pounced in the wrong place. Then I pounced again and I got it. Then I started going home and it flew away and landed. I pounced on it again and caught it again and I brought it to mom. The End Anna, 6 Mom's note: Anna is talking to her moth telling it that she is looking for
