I love inspiring parents to impart the God given talents of writing and drawing to their children. Creative expression isnt just reserved for a chosen few, but given freely by the Creator as a basic human necessity. I think the importance of establishing a creative home environment for the purpose of developing writing and artistic skills cannot be understated. Whether your child will be a future author, illustrator (or both), depends largely upon his life experience and home environment. Establishing a creative home environment will foster and draw out the talents that God has placed in each one of your children.
Matching the learning style and temperament of a child with the right resources can be one of the greatest challenges we face as parents. But thankfully, God is the One who grows our children in their bents. If we look to Him to supply, He will enable them to express themselves freely and flourish in their giftings.
Now you may not have come from a creative home environment or even know what one looks like. Dont worry! Over the next few weeks Im going to share practical ways to equip you in growing future authors and illustrators, and who knows...you may also take off!

Oh, good!
I love the way you teach writing, using art. When kids learn to illustrate their own writing, it makes it even MORE fun to write. Looking forward to learning from you!

Looking forward to gleaning from your wisdom. I love the Charlotte Mason ideas of observing nature and then making a nature journal. I love the title of your blog, too. Wonderful place you have here.
