Will I Make it Through?

There's a certain fear and trepidation that creeps into my homeschool mother's heart at the break of each new day. Do I have what it takes to make it through? The household chores compete and almost demand an equal focus with the nurture of my children hearts. The aches and pains of my physical body laugh at all that needs to be accomplished. Can I make it through? And what about the children? Are they going to get along today, or will it be one of “those” days! Will I make it through without losing it! God, I need your wisdom today. Your word says that if I ask for it, you will give it liberally. So all I can do...really, the only thing I can do...is pray.

Dear Father,

You have given me a sacred trust, four children to love and hold, to mold for thy glory. Today I asked for wisdom in every situation that may arise. It is not enough to use conventional wisdom. It must be the wisdom that comes from above. James 1:5 says: "But if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God and gives to all men generously and without reproach and it will be given to him". God I need your wisdom to be the mother You want me to be today. I need your wisdom to the minister to the hearts of my children as you would. Help me to love them with your love, not giving into their selfish wills, but spurring them on to live unselfishly. Yet make the answer gentle on my lips that correction may draw them humbly to You. Give me Your wisdom today Lord that I may not walk in the flesh running from one temporal task to another. Help me to die to my own agenda that I may be used of You.

4678 Sophia; wisdom, the knowledge of how to regulate one's relationship with God, wisdom which is related to goodness. When one is wise unto God, he is phonimos (5429), prudent with others and knows how to regulate circumstances.

Father,

Help me to regulate every circumstance that arises today in the power of Your Spirit and make me wise unto you!

Oh MY!

I am in awe that God is speaking the same things to us both---last night just before drifitng off I whispered in dh's ear that I was scared---that yes, I got through today, but tomorrow will dawn and I will have to do it again---will I have enough energy? Will I be gentle, will I have wisdom--how can I do it all??!!
God's gives grace for the day.....and that day alone.....this morning we read from Proverbs 7 that we are to tie wisdom around our fingers---so we all wrote the word wisdom right on our fingers........it is reminding me to ask for wisdom from above.
THANK YOU, JILL!!!!
Most warmly,
Ann V.
