October 27, 2006 - Tag is Banned
This news story is about ten days old, but if you haven't read it, it's still news. I was amazed -- the traditional game of TAG is being banned in elementary schools.
Yet another reason to homeschool, I guess!
And for the record, I'm leading PE at next week's homeschool group. We'll be playing TAG. :-)

I had heard that this law- pathetic! My husband says that sledding is the last unregulated fun kids can have these days. Its days are probably number too.

thx so much for visiting my blog and adding me to your contacts. i did the rss thing (i think). let me know if there is a problem. i find your blog fascinating & informative and want to add you on when i get around to getting "friends" on my blog... my blog is coming along little by little.
several comments you've made make me think you must be homeschooling by choice. i just say that because most of my mish friends around here are doing hsing...how should we say it?...under duress. i guess just having a hsing blog, though, shows that you're a "by choice" person.
i didn't start out hsing under duress, but close, with a "i can do this because i'm a competent person and i have to". (iow, i would never have started hsing except for the necessity of my circumstances). i never imagined that i would come to enjoy & PREFER it as i do now. God is such a God of surprises, don't you think? He is anything BUT predictable. have a great day/night/whatever in china and thx for such a great blog, mary
