This is a traveling Chinese medicine stall.  Chinese medicine is also called cao yao or grass medicine.  You can see why -- lots of herbs, plants, and sticks.

I love checking in at your blog. Your pictures are great. Is this man really a doctor?

Also, I have been meaning to ask you how long you have been in China, and if you have a very strong Christian community around you?
