I couldn't resist the dumb pun. Forgive me.
Well, the Homeschool Blog Award for 2006 are over.
And we lost.
WAAA..................
Well, we came in 2nd place with 17% of 372 votes.
That's 63 votes.
So although 63 of you voted for this blog, it just wasn't enough to beat
S/V Mari Hal-O-Jen.
The winner, I admit, has a very beautiful blog and an interesting life-- homeschooling on a sailboat.
But gee, is that more interesting than chicken feet, bei dous, squatty potties, and street snacks?
And what about all my funny English signs?
Hey, do they lapbook on that sailboat?
Okay, I hear you saying, "Don't be a sore loser, Jimmie!"
And you're right. I've got to have a good attitude about this.
So I've moved the nice NOMINEE (ie LOSER) badge over to my sidebar as a reminder of the amazing FUN it was to check my standing all week long in this contest.
Really it was a blast just to be so excited about it all.

Second place is still very good! Congratulations. There is always next year. ;o) It was sad to see only one HSB win. I just think not many people knew about it. I know I didn't until I happened upon someone's blog that had been nominated.

Can I be a sore loser??? I wasn't even nominated for homeschool blog awards. Well, I told myself it's because I've only been blogging for about 2 months.....
Well, unfortunately I haven't been nominated for any thinking blog awards either. Most of my friends on my blog list, even some who've been blogging less time then me have been awarded. So I'm left thinking I must not know what I'm doing when I come to blogging - or I'm boring and uninspiring. Oh well, enough of a pity party for me......
I think it's great for you to come in second on the awards, maybe you'll get it next year!! HUGS,
