October 16, 2007 - Rainforest Lapbook

Our Sonlight Core 2 curriculum had a few days scheduled for a study of the rainforest, but I decided that this fascinating habitat needed far more time! So I held it back to the end of the school year. Once we had done all our other curriculum, this made a nice extra unit study to fill in the gap as we wait for new material. Right now I have no set curriculum. We've been doing a Composer study and this Rainforest study along with reading and math.

okay, I wanted the M&M flap to be opened. hmmmmm....what could that have to do with the rainforest? I love artistic kids. It's so fun to see them progress, isn't it?

Ok, girls do a much better job with lapbooks than boys. I have to urge my boys into becoming creative with color and things. They just pencil things, glue and close the book! Your daughter lapbook is so beautiful. Great job!!!

Jimmie,
My very first ever lapbook was one on the rainforest. I wish I would have had all your great ideas and your Squidoo lens to work with.
Tell your daughter I love her cover idea.
