Thanks so much. I was just thinking about making a Thanksgiving lapbook. We already borrowed several books from the library. Thanks for all the links and thanks for the lapbook idea and how-to's.
I agree it isn't too early to become educated about homeschooling. Nevada is a state that has continuously done poorly in education, and I would like my daughter to be able to have more opportunities and choices in her education.
I am thinking I want to take a few days to just focus on tHanksgiving the week of. We also have company coming so it is busy with preparing, but I think we will drop regular spelling and math that week.
And thanks for your gentle exhortation on my blog today. You have encouraged and challenged me all day. I especially appreciate your perspective knowing that you see so much different in China. I know you are right; sometimes I need to be reminded. And you are right; much of my struggles come from comparing to others around me who seem to have so much extra. You may exhort and challenge anytime. ( I think of the Scripture to exhort one another daily that we may not fail short of our salvation and calling.)
~^~Homeschooling my only child with a somewhat Charlotte Mason approach and a healthy dose of lapbooks, crafts, and field trips.
~^~Showcasing my photography hobby by sharing images of life in China.
~^~Why "One Child Policy Homeschool"? I happen to have an only child, and I live in China. It is just my attempt at a witty name for the blog.
