I made a gift for you! Actually it is something I wanted for myself, but I decided to add it to my blog so that it's handy. And, of course, you can use it too!

It's a Search Box. Look in the right column between Curriculum We Use and the Keepers of the Home blog ring. This is no ordinary websearch box. This search tool will search only Homeschool Blogger blogs. Don't you ever want to research a certain unit study idea or homeschooling philosophy, but you really want to read what real, everyday moms have to say about it? Well, here is the way to do that. (I do realize that there are loads of awesome homeschooling blogs not here at HSB, but this search tool doesn't access those. Sorry.)

I was looking for ideas for a Physics lapbook and found some neat resources that other moms had already discovered and linked, just by using my new search box. Why reinvent the wheel? First, see what other families have done. That's one of the main benefits of the Internet and of blogging, in my opinion.

So, try it out. And let me know how it works for you. (By the way, I created it at Yahoo Search Builder.)

Are you sharing that with others or should I always come visit you to search?

Oh, by the way, I think the electric blanket on the couch is brilliant.
I use rice bags to keep warm in the winter. I heat one up in the microwave and put it in the foot of the bed to keep my feet warm. I tell people about this a lot and they usually say, they use it just for sore muscles. So sometimes, we have to think outside the box to stay warm. Glad you found a way.

I, too think this is really awesome. Can you post how to add one to our own blogs? That really is a great tool. I love this homeschool blogging- it has enriched out homeschool so much this year!

I am not sure I have ever commented but I have been reading your blog for several months now, sorry about that:( I have really enjoyed reading about homeschooling and life in China. I just wanted to thank you for your new blog search engine, it is exactly what I need right now! We are looking into Robinson Curriculum and I searched last night, to no avail, someone who has blogged about it and their experience. Thanks for your note and the code. I tried it but couldn't get it into my side bar. Is this code correct?

I thought maybe the ? after tune should be a/. I do my blog through trial and error and lots of help from others much wiser in this.
Could you possible tell me the part of the html code that comes before and then after that above link. I'd love to have this in my sidebar.

I enjoy your blog. The electric blankets look toasty yet I'd hate my home being that chilly inside. We too use heated rice bags-they are great.

Awesome! I was just thinking the other day how I wish there was a search tool like this! I am teaching an astronomy class for coop and I need ideas for 1st and 2nd graders. This will help! If you are sharing the code, here is my email.
