August 10, 2008 - Describing a Bad Day -- in the Words of a (very creative) Nine Year Old
We were walking down our hill to run errands, and I commented that she seemed to feel much better than yesterday. She agreed and proceeded to explain to me how she did, in fact, feel that very bad day.
She said, "My head hurt; my legs were aching. I had nausea, and my throat hurt. It felt like five giants and an elf were throwing me around."
I stopped in my tracks and laughed outloud. "What was the elf doing??!!"
She sheepishly responded, "He was jabbing me as the giants were throwing me back and forth."
Pretty descriptive, isn't it?

That is a great image! I always invision dwarves (mining ones with pick axes) in my my head when I have a migraine. I probably have had that image since around nine years old, lol.

that actually made me chuckle out loud. What a creative description. In fact, I've never heard it's equal. :)

Well of course, elves are always part of my imagination. Aren't they in yours? LOL
I just know you're coming up with a wonderful planning post for the next CM carnival, right? :o)

Yes, that is very funny. Quite descriptive. I wish I had such a creative mind, sometimes I just don't know what to use as an example, and it sounds like she comes up with examples well! lol!

Hi Jimmie,
Oh that's hilarious, sounds like something my nine year old would say!! You must read her too many living books :-)
I'm not keeping up with the picture study at the moment, but there are some baby pictures on my blog if you'd like to have a look.

ROFLOL! She's even creative when she slips up!!!
Mine slip up often, but it's usually not that imaginative. And yes, it does sound like she was feeling something awful the other day! I can only imagine-- poor thing.
