May 18, 2009 - Fun Grammar

Some of you, like me, probably downloaded many of the free Mother's Day gifts from CurClick. I really liked the Silly Snail grammar game, but it only covered a few parts of speech. I suggested that Sprite make her own board game about the parts of speech. And here it is!

grammar game

The game involves answering questions in the quiz books and pulling cards from the Grammar Chest. We had a great time playing it, and it was a fantastic overall review of the parts of speech.

Making a board game and playing it is a great hands-on way to show what you've learned. Try it!

I just noticed you are online, so I thought I'd come on over and comment! It's been awhile. I've been on again off again with my blog... I have two now, and real life to keep up with of course. I hope you are well!

Wow! You're so amazing! I don't read your blog that often and when I do I have to remind myself that

1) You have one child (no offence but it helps me as I have 3)

2) I am not homeschooling for a very important reason - I got the word from above! But I do pine for it and hope for the future.

I have nothing to complain about, but I did LOVE homeschooling and found it fun.

The bottom line is that you're doing a wonderful job educating your daughter. Kudos to you.

I have been following you and Spite's learning adventures for months via flickr! And I love the printables you've linked to from there. So glad I found your "real" blog.
