March 5, 2006 - The Artist in the Park

My creative daughter has been asking for an artist's easel for some time now. We finally found one for a good price. That same day, her dad took her to the park to use it.  This was her goal -- to go to the park and draw for the people there.

I think it's just hilarious!  Now the easel is in our living room!

March 6, 2006 - Great lapbooks

Posted by ClagettsFLStyle

Just looked at some of your lapbooks. HOW FUN!! My project this summer is going to be upacking our old homeschool papers and somewhat organizing them into scapbook type things for my daughters. We have done some really neat things like this - some were pocket folders - and I tend forget how much fun we had doing them. Can't wait to pull them back out again and see all their work.

Wow! How interesting that they were so fascinated in watching. And so many of them! That's wonderful! Not like the U.S. What an experience for your daughter! Please tell her she made a beautiful picture!

I love her confidence and coolheadedness - maintaining her composure while everyone's watching. ~jen
PS The only way to alphabetize your friends is to first delete them all and add them back in order; but I think you have to add them in backwards "z to a" order to get it right on the blog. I think there is another way to do it that would allow you to add new friends without having to delete and readd everytime a new name came, I coudl email you if you want?

March 9, 2006 - Emma's artwork

Emma, what a lovely job you're doing here at your easel in the park! I'm sure all of the people who saw you were equally impressed.

Will you draw me a picture and email it to me? How about a picture of something REALLY unique and unusual that you've seen or done recently during your travels? That'd be really neat!

Thanks!
Your Mommy's friend, Christie, in Pittsburgh
