Musings of a Jitterbug

* Apr. 23, 2008 - Interesting facts about "Earth Day" and "Global Warming":

  1. Earth Day was stated because the world was cooling.
  2. Earth Day caught on because it was used as the latest marketing technique. (Shop with us, we donate 0.0000001% of our profit on Earth Day!)
  3. In the Middle Ages, there was an event called the "Medieval Warming Period". This phase was warmer than any fifty year period in the 1900s, but at that time there was no industrial revolution.
  4. Um...it's snowing, in April.
  5. The temperature in 2007 went down.
  6. The ambient temperature on Mars is rising at the same rate as earth. Those aliens should really stop driving SUVs
  7. In a 1993 Gallup poll, 53% of the scientists didn't believe global warming is a problem, 17% did, and 30% weren't sure.
