Cell phones~books~iPod tag
Okay I wrote this post awhile ago just in case I had a day when I needed to post was to lazy to write anything =) The day has come. Plus I want to comment some of ya'll, hopefully I'll have time!
I got this from somebody else's blog and thought it was cute!
Psalm 16:9-11
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.
My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead
or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.
Message;;
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone.
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
Is this something to make you go…hmm…where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think, "Where are my priorities?"
And, NO DROPPED CALLS!!!
I don't have a cell phone but I get the point! lol!
This is also from somebody else's blog also (http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/peanniebuttercup/)

Actually I really only thought to post today because it's August 17. Two years ago Uncle Barron, my Mom's brother, died of cancer and I thought I'd ask you guys to say a prayer for her today, I know it's going to be a hard day. And if you'd like to read the 'This Day In History' I wrote last year go HERE.
Love ya Mom!
To everyone who's lost someone they love/Long before it is their time/Seems like the days you had were never enough/When you said goodbye- Cry Out to Jesus by Third Day.
Here's a summary of the past few weeks:
In July I took a week long class to learn some more HTML. It was really fun! I already knew quite a bit since I've been working on templates here on HSB but it was great to learn the more standardized stuff. Pretty much each student had to come up with a product to 'sell' and we had to design a website to sell it. I sold medieval and fairytale castles. It was so cool!
Last weekend was the barbecue for the firestation. We helped shuck corn and prep meat to serve to people. I volunteered at a booth selling bry and t-shirts. There was a proffesional face painter there also, she did some really cool stuff, I got flowers all down the side of my face.
We've also been swimming a ton of times and I'm sure we've done other stuff but I don't remember it all!
Now I've started school for the year again. It's not to bad so far, I'm taking some online courses which are really good and Algebra 1-2 is not to complicated yet =)
Anyway, I'd better sign off. I'll try to comment you guys too...

Testing~4th of July~Journey to the Center~Eragon Soundtrack~ Cinderella
Wow, I really need to keep up with my blogging! It's been a few weeks.
Well grandpa left town a week early because he wasn't feeling well and was a little bored. Yeah, life is slow here in the State of Insanity. Turns out his bloodsugar was low because he was trying to quit smoking.
A couple Fridays ago my sister and I went to testing for Tae Kwon Do. We tested for conditional red belt. I have never been a big fan of testing, even when we only tested once or twice a year. Now testing is mandatory every three belts <.< Oh well. I don't really feel the need to move on to a new belt every three months or even every year. Tae Kwon Do is more of physical education for me and frankly black belt isn't that high of a priority. Goodness, it's rare when I can do a good sidekick, nevermind the spinning ones! Oh yeah, another reason I don't like testing anymore: it is FIVE and 1/2 HOURS LONG! If you think about it, that's almost half a day. Oh well, at least we got more breaks to sit down during this testing, unlike last time. I was so sore the rest of the weekend.
There were two interesting things that happened at testing though. First some of the blackbelts and other kids who knew how to do this roll (with a long name I can't pronounce) had to roll over up to 4 kids without touching the kids. Yeah, the people rolling did NOT include me. 2. This one guy got his helmet kicked off during sparring and then that guy kicked the helmet off the other guy. And then they started yelling at eachother, including one word which I shall not repeat.
4th of July was pretty fun too. The fireworks were awesome and the food was too ;) I got to play with the little kids, I pitched a baseball for this one little boy with a bat and he seemed to have fun. Thank goodness he was so tiny and I was up close and didn't have to throw the ball hard because my aim is pathetic. It was so cute, some of the kids were playing with these little super bounce balls on street while there were a bunch of adults around. After chasing a rogue ball down the street and breaking a neighbors window (that was a joke) that same little kid I tossed the base ball too wanted to trade super bounce balls, which I was happy to do. He kept saying, 'It's always nice to share. I like sharing.' It was sooo cute!
Hmmm... what else? That Journey to the Center of the Earth movie looks good. I've only seen like two previews for it though so I don't know much about it except that it's in 3-D. And that Josh Hutcherson kid was in RV and Bridge to Teribithia and Brendan Fraser was in George of the Jungle (no, I didn't know all this from just looking at the movie, I IMDB'd it.) The book was really awesome too! Oh and can you guess where my blog title Journey to the Centre of My Life came from? Right. Except Jules Verne (the author of the book) spelled Center as 'Centre' so I did too.
I'm downloading a lot more country music to my iPod because I got a nice little gadget that will play the iPod through the radio (sweet) an d the rest of the family likes country. Guess I'm the only one who likes classical and rock =P
Oh and I got an Eragon soundtrack cd from the library. It was pretty good! When I returned it to the library I saw this girl I know, Amy, check it out right afterwards. It was so funny!
Has anyone heard Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman? If you haven't, the lyrics are on my left sidebar (no, no, your other left!) I LOVE that song, it's my new short term favorite (I say short term because I have a new favorite every month or so.)
Oh and I've got a new contest up at RecycledTemplates, go vote!

~Grandpa coming to town~kite flying~clapping~my twitchy cat~henna tattoos~and several PS's~
Well, my grandpa is flying in from Train Town this evening. He'll be staying for about two weeks so I don't know how often I'll be able to get on here. I might be able to comment ya'll in spare moments but I don't know. We'll probably do a lot of driving. My grandpa likes trains so we'll be going to LOTS of places with trains.
I have a feeling I won't be replying to any of those comments right away either, sorry. =)
Last Saturday my dad, my sister and I went down to the park to fly kites. It was a breezy day and I thought we'd be down there for a half hour-forty five minutes or so. Dad started putting together this shark plane kite I wanted to fly, first. It was taking awhile and then we figured out that there wasn't enough rods! lol. So then I chose this really simple kite called 'The Sky Dancer' which only had one rod that needed to be inserted. I started flying it while dad and my sis, Alex, tried to put together this other complicated kite called the 'Pink Dragon.' It must have took them 20-30 minutes! Meanwhile I was flying my kite (no I didn't crash it into any trees...) and there were a bunch of eagles swooping around it! It was so awesome! Dad thinks that they were trying to find air currents, and they might have been.
Anyway, dad and Alex got the Pink Dragon together but when Alex was flying it, it kept crashing. She also managed to tangle all the string =) So dad decided to fly that one and Alex got this little plastic kite. The plastic kite flew really well because it didn't have a bunch of rods and wasn't that heavy.
After about 2 1/2 hours (!) we decided to go home. That was perfect timing because some baseball people were coming to use the feild. Later that evening while we were making dinner mom said my face was really red. I looked in the mirror and it was burnt red. Great. I always forget how prone to burn I am.
Whenever we got to church I always want to clap for the little choir we have, they are really good in spite of having so few people! There are songs that are better then others but I want to clap anyway. Well a few weeks ago the choir sang 'Rock of Ages.' Towards the end the congregation began to clap their hands to the beat and when the song was finished somebody in the back started clapping and then the whole church began clapping!
Hmm... what else? My cat got some flea and tick prevention stuff on the back of her neck today. Yeah, she totally loves it... not! She gets super twitchy and whenever you pick her up she is all stiff. It's pitiful and hilarious at the same time. Poor cat. She stays twitchy for about two days before it all soaks in.
Yesterday my sis and I went to the library where they were having a program doing henna tattoos. No they aren't permanent lol =) They last about two weeks... well supposedly, but that comes later. The plant comes from India I think, and the ink helps cool your skin. I have had a henna tattoo once before at another library program, but it this time it was just done by our librarian Melanie. The tattoos were from a little kit and the paste was rubbed on differently but it was still super fun! Then we made lip gloss out of Crisco and Kool-Aid. Yum! No seriously, yum. All of us girls were eating it. Then of course I had a great idea for something we could try if we had popcorn. We'd melt butter, pour it on popcorn and then sprinkle Kool-Aid powder on it! Doesn't that sound good? lol. The librarian, Melanie, was a little grossed out that we were eating the lipgloss =)
Okay, I didn't finish writing this on Wednesday and grandpa is safely in town by now yay! I'll have to make this next part quick. Anyway, I managed to rub of my tattoo =( We went to the Cadet program at the firestation and the class had to put on fire gear and hold hoses. I of course didn't wear socks (because my tattoo was on my foot) and it rubbed off on the fireboots. grrr. Did you know how heavy firehoses are? Set your house on fire, maybe the firemen will let you put it out. lol jk
PS: I've got another contest up at RecycledTemplates go check it out!
PPS: Happy Juneteenth!
PPPS: Is it PS and then PPS or is it PS and then PSS? My brain has died lol.
PPPPS: Hey, why not four????

Template of the Week Contest
Well, I somehow managed not to post for a week and a half... sorry about that...
Wow, my first ever smiley! Give me a round of applause... =) I like keyboard smileys better =P
Today I had an orthodontist appointment, I taught an hour long origami class at the library to 8-9 year olds. Then I went to Tae Kwon Do (my sister taught) and then at lunch. After that I was supposed to sit at the Teen Summer Reading Club desk and wait for people to sign up, instead I taught two more hour long origami classes! Some of the kids were younger but oh well. I taught them how to make: sailboats (or yachts), ladybug, rockets, butterflys, drinking cups, and monkey climbs the mountain. I think they had fun. I, needless to say, am exhausted. lol. Kids really wear you out. Some of the teachers and leaders looked a little grumpy and worn out too.
Please be praying for some families in our area, they need it!
Okay, so I have a new contest on my RecycledTemplates blog and I would like you guys to go vote for it. I only have one vote and the contest ends (at least for this week) on Sunday!
Voting for the templates begins TUESDAY JUNE 10, and ends SUNDAY JUNE 15, any votes cast before or after those dates will be omitted!
What happens in this contest? In this contest several templates compete to become the Template of the Week. This means that your template gets free publicity, you will get HTML advice from others and bragging rights and a banner if you win. Winners of the Template of the Week will be entered into the Template of the Month contest.
How do I enter? Every template that is submitted to Recycled Templates will automatically be considered, you do not have to send them in. I will choose several templates that I think will do well together and enter them in the contest. I will PM you if I choose to enter your template.
What is Recycled Templates? Recycled Templates is a website where you contribute old templates that you won't use anymore and 'recycle' them for other people to use.
How do I vote? You can either PM or comment me your vote. PMing is advised it you have friends in the contest, that way nobody's feelings are hurt. No anonymous comments will be counted. If you are going to comment your vote please comment on the template you are voting for (template of the week 1-2-3) NOT on my RecycledTemplates blog! And... let's say you are PMing me, please tell me the TITLE of the template for instance: template of the week 1-2-3 OR Cool Template by HTMLpro1 (example) instead of 'that cool template by what's-their-face. lol
Is it okay if I tell the contestants what I think of the templates in a comment? That is perfectly fine, as long as you are nice and don't JUST tell them the things that could be changed, tell them what you like also.
May I tell others about this contest? Yes! You may post this post on your blog to let people know. Please do not just tell your friends to go vote for you. You might have more friends that vote for you then other contestants do.
What sportsmanship do you require? I ask that if you win, please don't put anybody else down. I would like it (but it isn't required) if you went to the other contestants blogs and congratulate them if they win or tell them that it was a good try if they lost.
If I were entered into this contest can I vote for myself? No. You may however vote for somebody else who is participating.
Will I be entered multiple times? You could be. Right now there's only a few templates that have been contributed to Recycled Templates. Every time you contribute a template you increase your odds of being entered. At some point in time I will have entered everybody who has contributed.
What if I don't want to contribute something to Recycled Templates, could I still enter? At the moment I am only entering templates that have been contributed to Recycled Templates. My reason for this is: I don't know how many (or few) templates I'll have flooding in and I don't want to forget which ones are for Recycled Templates and which ones are for the Template of the Week contest. This will make it easier on me, but I might change this after a few weeks. My other reason for doing this is so that your template will be recognized as a good quality one and more people will use it one their blogs.
Let's say I have contributed several templates to Recycled Templates but there is a certain one I would like entered in the contest. Can I ask you to enter it? Yes! I'm not saying I'll do it right away but at least I know you would like it to be entered.
How often will this contest be held? Every Tuesday voting will end for the past three templates and the winner will be announced. At this time three new templates will be entered. Every three weeks the past winners of said three weeks will be entered into a Template of the Month contest. I may stop this contest in the fall because I will be starting school again and I have no idea how busy I will be. If I do quit in the fall I will start again next summer.
Is there anything else you would like me to know? Please remember that this is a HTML contest, not a popularity one. Please don't vote for someone just because you know them. Please be on your honor system at all times and please remember to have FUN!!!
Please take a look at the templates and go vote!!! I've only had two votes so far so I need more!
