Testing~4th of July~Journey to the Center~Eragon Soundtrack~ Cinderella
Wow, I really need to keep up with my blogging! It's been a few weeks.
Well grandpa left town a week early because he wasn't feeling well and was a little bored. Yeah, life is slow here in the State of Insanity. Turns out his bloodsugar was low because he was trying to quit smoking.
A couple Fridays ago my sister and I went to testing for Tae Kwon Do. We tested for conditional red belt. I have never been a big fan of testing, even when we only tested once or twice a year. Now testing is mandatory every three belts <.< Oh well. I don't really feel the need to move on to a new belt every three months or even every year. Tae Kwon Do is more of physical education for me and frankly black belt isn't that high of a priority. Goodness, it's rare when I can do a good sidekick, nevermind the spinning ones! Oh yeah, another reason I don't like testing anymore: it is FIVE and 1/2 HOURS LONG! If you think about it, that's almost half a day. Oh well, at least we got more breaks to sit down during this testing, unlike last time. I was so sore the rest of the weekend.
There were two interesting things that happened at testing though. First some of the blackbelts and other kids who knew how to do this roll (with a long name I can't pronounce) had to roll over up to 4 kids without touching the kids. Yeah, the people rolling did NOT include me. 2. This one guy got his helmet kicked off during sparring and then that guy kicked the helmet off the other guy. And then they started yelling at eachother, including one word which I shall not repeat.
4th of July was pretty fun too. The fireworks were awesome and the food was too ;) I got to play with the little kids, I pitched a baseball for this one little boy with a bat and he seemed to have fun. Thank goodness he was so tiny and I was up close and didn't have to throw the ball hard because my aim is pathetic. It was so cute, some of the kids were playing with these little super bounce balls on street while there were a bunch of adults around. After chasing a rogue ball down the street and breaking a neighbors window (that was a joke) that same little kid I tossed the base ball too wanted to trade super bounce balls, which I was happy to do. He kept saying, 'It's always nice to share. I like sharing.' It was sooo cute!
Hmmm... what else? That Journey to the Center of the Earth movie looks good. I've only seen like two previews for it though so I don't know much about it except that it's in 3-D. And that Josh Hutcherson kid was in RV and Bridge to Teribithia and Brendan Fraser was in George of the Jungle (no, I didn't know all this from just looking at the movie, I IMDB'd it.) The book was really awesome too! Oh and can you guess where my blog title Journey to the Centre of My Life came from? Right. Except Jules Verne (the author of the book) spelled Center as 'Centre' so I did too.
I'm downloading a lot more country music to my iPod because I got a nice little gadget that will play the iPod through the radio (sweet) an d the rest of the family likes country. Guess I'm the only one who likes classical and rock =P
Oh and I got an Eragon soundtrack cd from the library. It was pretty good! When I returned it to the library I saw this girl I know, Amy, check it out right afterwards. It was so funny!
Has anyone heard Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman? If you haven't, the lyrics are on my left sidebar (no, no, your other left!) I LOVE that song, it's my new short term favorite (I say short term because I have a new favorite every month or so.)
Oh and I've got a new contest up at RecycledTemplates, go vote!

Awww, that little kid sounds so cute!
I'm glad that I haven't had to go to the new testing yet! On the first one, I was sick, and on the last one we never went.
Have a great day!

Hello Jo!
Thank you for the prayers. :-) They are much appreciated.
Journey to the Centre of the Earth does look good! I saw 'Journey' movie that was made in the sixties a little while ago. It was actually really cool. I liked Alec. *grin* One of my cousins wanted Alec to die. I explained to him that nobody needed to die, and that the story was perfectly great without Alec dying, but he didn't listen. *sigh* Boys are weird.
Hugs,
Becca

Oh, yes, and I love the Ever After quote you have on your sidebar! The king sounds so awesome when he's like "I'll... live forever!" *grin* That's such an awesome movie.

Hey,
It sounds like you've been busy! Glad to hear that you had a nice 4th of July. I don't think I ever posted about mine. Anyway we spent it with another chaplain and his wife. That was nice.
Oh yeah, that movie does look good. Actually, to tell you the truth. I haven't even seen the commercial! My friend told me about it:-)
I LOVE the Cinderella song. It is so sweet. My Mom was sobbing when she first heard it, lol. She likes it a lot too:-)
I updated my blog yesterday, so come check it out when you get a chance! God bless,
Christine

I didn't go and see Hancock. I went to see Get Smart instead. But Dad and Uncle Vian went to see Hancock the next day and they told us that we weren't aloud to see it.
Thanks for your comment.

Hey,
Do you think you could go visit my blog and let me know if you are now able to view it correctly? It's under construction at the moment but I just want to know if that problem that I had is fixed.

It sounds like you had a good 4th, I did too! Little kids are sooo sweet, aren't they! My cousin is two (three is a couple months), and he's soooo cute the way he's learning more and more words!
I really like "Cinderella" too! Did you hear about his daughter?

Hi Jo,
yes, I would like a template based maybe that swan one. Colors...um...maybe a faded green and red, and one sidebar. Also I would like horse pictures, mostly black ones and some paints.
Thank you,

I saw you had commented on the StoryGirl blog. I was wondering if you had a story you would like me to put on it? You see, Jennifer, the one who was doing it with me, doesn't want to do it anymore. So I am by myself. I just need some stories!
Stop by soon,
Rachel
