Hey all my wonderful bloggy friends!  Well as you probably guessed from the title (unless you’re one of those people who completely ignore titles because you find them to be very random, in most cases) I am going to be having mouth surgery! 

If you read my blog regularly (not that I post regularly) then you probably know that I have had a retainer, braces and several frightening visits to the orthodontist.  All that leads up to Tuesday December 23 (tomorrow) when I will be subjected to having the lower part of head cut open and rearranged (Hey!  Maybe I will be a Picasso when it’s over with!  Not sure I’d like my nose to be on my forehead and my left eye on my chin though...) Anyway, I have to have this surgery because I have a back between my back teeth, which according to my orthodontist means that I have to grind my food, instead of chewing it.  So pretty much my back teeth would wear out and become gum-level by the time I’m 20 years old.  Then I’d have to get dentures, not high on my list of priorities lol!

I will be having surgery tomorrow in the early afternoon.  The surgery will take about 4-5 hours and I will be in the hospital for 3-5 days, which means I’ll probably be in there through Christmas.  I won’t be able to walk through Wal*Mart for two weeks (don’t worry, I’m allowed to walk to the bathroom though!) and I can’t start my Tae-Kwon-Do class again for eight weeks.  I’ll probably be living off of soup, milkshakes/smoothies, and hotdogs blended down with mustard for awhile.  Okay, maybe not the hotdogs, although the doctor has said people have eaten some pretty strange stuff after this surgery.
I probably won’t get back to comments right away, or private messages, so sorry about that!  Oh well, you guys understand, right?

So all in all, I’d really appreciate some prayers!  I’ll try to give you another post sometime after my surgery, when I feel up to it, or perhaps mom can hack into my account and write something.  Just hope she doesn’t mess up my purtyfull new template with her HSB saviness =P lol jk

PS Anybody heard of the band 33Miles?  I bought their cd, One Life, which was awesomeful.  Tell me your fave songs, or ones you think I should listen to.  It will give me something to take my mind off of my mouth!
