Lol, "awesome" is ok, I can never think of myself when I hear that word though, I am far from awesome! I think that the only person that really measures up to awesome is God.
Ok, maybe it's not "perfect" but it's still a lot better then mine!
Did I ever tell you how much I love the moon? =D
Yes, you'll have to ask me on the IM, we didn't really have time to chat on the phone, we where to busy.
I was really blessed by your award, I will post it on my blog. It is a honor.
I love taking B&W pictures, they always turn out so pretty!
I've always wanted to be a photographer, I just don't feel that my pictures are that good. I am improving though!
Eric
EDIT: Paul's banner didn't show up, and three of the html codes didn't either.

Thank you so much for your kind words - both here and from your comment. They were a good reminder that I should turn my thoughts to prayer instead of focusing on the bad. I so appreciate your friendship and encouragement. :-)
You've never been to the ocean? You must go one day! I took a video of the waves at the beach that I haven't posted yet. Maybe I'll post that soon...
Love you,

I left a comment on your post before, but, I thought I'd give you another comment just in case you didn't get the other one. I'm a new blogger and I think your blog is so beautiful. I have a question, did you make those awards, and if so, how did you do it? I know a little HTML, and JavaScript, I'm trying to teach myself with "JavaScript For Dummies" it's a pretty helpful book. Anyway, please stop by my blog sometime.
Kacey
Oh, and my older sister, Sarah, has the same birthday as you, May 9th! I thought that was neat.

Yes, that is fine if you use the Blogs I Frequent.

No, your not offending me. I don't know about the awesome in a earthly realm thing, I think I might be nice, but not awesome =D
I was referring to my post on the moon, obviously I like the moon from my post!
That computer hog thing has not reached my house, I'm the only one who uses my computer! *buwa ha ha!*
Paul's banner is still not showing.

Hello Jocelyn,
Thank you so much for giving me the Blogger Reflection Award. That meant so much to me. It has been very nice to get to know you through blogging and e-mails and I’m pleased to know that you enjoy receiving my comments as I enjoy receiving yours. It is always fun to hear from you. I know that you mentioned that I do not write personal posts…and truthfully I don’t really like writing about myself…I can never seem to find the correct words to say. Your posts are always interesting and fun. So I’m trying to come up with some other interesting topics to post about…oh, yes I’m thinking I will also be having a little blog contest this summer….so we shall see.
Thank you for being such a wonderful blogger friend…. God Bless
Love,
Brielle

How sweet of you to think of bestowing such an honor upon me. The Reflection and Purpose blog awards are such great ideas (it's funny...for awhile I had considered doing the same sort of thing! the "Sincere" award or some such title...).
I love being able to pass along encouragement and commendation to fellow writers along with a token medal to go with it. It keeps you inspired to do all things with all your might for GOD's glory!
Keep up the faith and MAY GOD BLESS,
~Amanda~
P.S. ~
I like your little welcome pop-up window. How creative!
P.P.S. ~
Now, I noticed in the HSB template that there is a basic "Right Side" and "Left Side" - but I'm not sure how to make three columns. Any starting points? Rebekah (TheLord'sDaughter) has the 3-columns too. I should ask her where she found that design.
P.P.P.S.~
How do you plan to publish your book? Self-publishing, or through an established publishing company? |

Good picks for the award. Maybe I will do it if I can think up some people to give it to. But I am pretty new, so I don't know.

P.S. Those links are pretty cool, how do you make them?

I suppose great minds do think alike. You and Eric both came up with great awards!! And you definitely picked the cream of the crop to start out. Ringbearer, mandygrace, BrielleCostumes, and your mother of course. :-)
Thank you for the award - it's amazing to be put up there with such great bloggers. Haha.
I like what your mother said about disagreements. I feel closer to you as a friend than anyone else on HSB precisely because of our disagreements. Iron sharpens iron. If everybody agreed on everything, who would actually take time to think about what they believed in? GK Chesterton said that he "never let a quarrel get in the way of a good argument." I like a person who can argue with me without simply quarelling. I've learned a lot from you, Jocelyn. Thanks for being a great blogging friend. :-)
I like the pop up, btw. Very cool!!
My regards and love,
Sylvia |

Dear Jocelyn,
Thanks so much for your comment & encouraging words! I enjoyed it very much. :) Yes, you have inspired me, and continue to do so, and I would love to meet you and your family someday. I will let you know if we ever come through Indiana!
By the way, the "Blogger Reflection Award" is a great idea. Very creative! I will have to post it on my blog, when I get a chance--I've got way too many posts going already! ;)
Yes, I can tell you my age - the only reason why it's not on my profile is because my Dad doesn't want me to put my birthday on there. I'm 11...how old did you think I was?
You hit the nail on the head - I feel that I have to do something special or act a certain way to be liked (or loved) by my friends. It's good to know that I'm not alone! Thanks for saying that.
I'm so glad I didn't offend you! I would have felt so bad if I did.
Oh, and thank you for putting me on your "Lords' and Ladies' blogs I enjoy" list - that was very sweet of you! I'm so honored. If I had one, you'd defenitely be on it.
Oh, and my blog title's Further Up and Further In, just so you know.
And, I have finally posted...
With Love,
~Kylie (aka NG)
EDIT: Those are very neat icons! "Paulie" and your "tech guy" did a great job!

HI Jocelyn! I haven't commented in a while so I decided to! I am in a commenting mood right now, you are like the 7th or 8th comment I have written today, and that is ALOT for me! I ws wondering, do you have to be awarded the blogger reflection award to GIVE the award? Just wondering.
In response to your last post, I don't think you are that absent minded! You should meet me!!!!! I forget things all the time, and I always have to go back and fix stuff, my sister always shows me where I mad a mistake.
I think God gave us those little imperfections so that we could learn to grow out of them. If we were perfect then we wouldn't need God right? That's why I m glad I am not perfect. I like having someone to rely on other than myself.
Well, anyways, sorry if I was too long! Keep up the posts! |

I just followed this award back to it's origin.
I have to say I was surprised at your age, but your writing is very well done.
I think it is a great thing to honor people, it is uplifting and make them smile on the inside too!
So, good job!

| As you probably know, your award has been circulating around Blogger for a bit. I've been recipient of it a couple of times, once at each of my blogs there. This award has been a blessing for many people, bringing brightness to their days. Thank you for starting it. I just wanted to let you know that I took an approach at the one blog which was contrary to the instructions, but seemed most feasible for me at the time. If you'd like to see my "general' approach, please visit me at http://speakablegifts.blogspot.com. I hope you will continue to serve the Lord on your blog. |

Oct. 6, 2007 - Links for Blogger Reflection Award |
| Posted by Claire |
Hello Jocelyn,
First off, thanks so much for creating such a beautiful award! I wanted to let you know that the links (specifically, the link for the third sidebar badge) didn't work when I tried following the instructions to put them in my blog (www.lily-maiden.blogspot.com) a few weeks ago. I had to save the image to my computer and put it up that way, without it being a link. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced the same problem, but I thought I'd let you know. With so many busy bloggers, t'would be a shame for someone to receive the award and then never put it up because the link doesn't work and they don't have time to trouble-shoot it!
Your Sister in Christ,
Claire |
