Spring in Autumn
|
My last entry showed Winter in Summer and now I've got some Spring-like ones for the first days of our Autumn. Our February was the wettest on record. The average is 21mm for the month. Tuggeranong recorded 101mm, Canberra city recorded 93mm (mainly due to that freak storm) and our area recorded 167mm. All of that rain has had a rejuvenating effect on the plants. A small shrub that we've had out the front for ten years has flowered for the first time. ![]() Our palm tree out the back is shooting toward the base of the trunk: ![]() and one of our natives, I guess it's in the bottle brush family, is flowering nicely: ![]() It's wonderful to see these colours and new life and to praise God for them. |
