We could never use cloth diapers for our littles because the washmachines here don't heat up hot enough to clean them well.

You will hear from me soon,

Thanks for your lovely comments. I hope my daughter grows up to be as sweet as you!!! : )
I'll add you to my favorites as well.
In answer to your question...I have ebeen to New Zealand. I was about 10 years old at the time. My aunt lives there. It is beautiful. You can have sand, glaciers and green hills all in one area. We travelled around and camped for a few weeks. It was great. It is only 3 hours by plane from Australia...I should have gone again...maybe one day.
Have a great day,
Stacy

You will never believe who I am for Gone with the Wind, I was mammy, isn't that funny, I guess I am sort of like her? I was also Lizzy, that's a good thing I think. I HATE changing diapers, yuck, but you're right. Are you potty training your little sib? Luv ya LOTS!

I am so disappointed. I took both tests and came out to be Ashley Wilkes and Mr. Darcy. How VERY un-ladylike!
Actually I was 70 % for both Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett and they gave me a tie-breaker question that set Mr. Darcy at the top of the list.

Waz up? Cloth ughhhh. Lol. I've never changed a diaper. Cause Johns a year younger and we were in diapers at the same time. And theres no more sibling after him. But i've watched and i don't envy your diaper duties. I took the poll thingie and i was jane . I wouldn't have guessed that i would be her but it's a pretty good match. I love pride and prejiduce, sense and sensibility, and the Jane austins. Hey what's your IM ? Maybe we could chat some time.

Used Cloth Diapers for a little bit with Tristan. He was pretty hard because they just never fit his BIG tummy very well. He was quite the chunky baby and I just never got the right fit on him. If I was not working full time at the time I tried them I think I would have had more success. We used All in Two. Where the liners snapped inside. They were adorible!!! Cute designs and all.

I am amazed that at one your sibling (brother?) is starting in underware. Actually my daughter was poop trained by 18 months. pee trained at 2 1/2. My son.... not even CLOSE to anything. Oh well. lol

Hi Jocelyn,

Cloth diapers sound SICK! I have no reason to complain about diapers because we haven't got babies right now. James just wears his at night and Ryann takes care of giving him baths most of the time.

Re: your comment on my blog. My day usually looks like this:
7:00 wake up, take a shower, eat breakfast
8:00 go down to "dungeon" (basement) to train my cousin in TOS work and work on my job (finances and legal)
10:00 go up for school. Although I'm graduated, I still have to sit in for Spelling/vocabulary, History, Bible, and Astronomy. After that, I do addition flashcards with Bo and Emmi, and then ABC cards with Dippy (for letter recognition), and ABC cards with Emmi (for sounds/phonics). I also quiz Ryann Emmi and Bo on their prepositions.
12 or 1: Eat lunch, then head back to the dungeon to work and train until about 4.
4:00: go to PO then head back home (on Thursdays, I also pick up milk about 45 min. away)
Then I will either continue working, or relax upstairs, depending on the amount of work there is.
I head to bed around 10 or 11. :)

Elizabeth Bennett... just like you, because we usually are the same characters, aren't we??

And... Missy - as far as your poor, pitiful life... having to rinse out diapers... sob sob... yeah, get over it. First of all, you didn't point out that:
1) he has 1, maybe 2 dirty diapers per day;
2) YOU don't always rinse them out each day, AND:
3) we DON'T rinse out the peed-on ones.
In addition to that, a properly rinsed-out diaper doesn't include the splashing or even touching toilet water... believe me, this is the voice of experience.
So, it makes your post sound so much less-dramatic!
Also, you didn't put any information about how much better cloth diapers are for baby's bottom, our earth, etc. They are also less expensive!

"Not only are you suppose to do everything with delight in the Lord but I have a better excuse for complaining...."
No, actually, Not only are you suppose to do everything with delight in the Lord but there is no excuse for complaining. "With delight" means a cheerful attitude, no complaining. Not even a *sigh*. Not even later.
*smiles* Keep trying.

I do highly doubt Babyboy will be trained so quickly. Maybe if we put him on the potty, but he won't do it on his own. Don't you wish!

Hey girl!
I used cloth diapers with my first four. Then Gary took pity on me, and we've used disposables since. (*I* read that, depending on where you live, cloth diapers can actually be just as hard on the environment, what with all the soap, bleach, and water being used every week.) At any rate, I've used my fair share of both cloth and disposable...but we'll probably continue with disposable for the next one. Once you've been spoiled, it's hard to return to the cloth diaper route. :-)

hey sorry it took me so long to get back to you I was gone all weekend.
I agree with your mom on the diaper thing. I have so many sibs and we only used cloth on like 2 of them. and I'm not sure about you but I don't think cleaning them out in the toilet is THAT bad. but, then again I'm used to it I've been doing that kind of stuff ever since I was 8 or 9. so it's pretty easy for me. just get in and get done!
ok well, thanx for commenting on my blog I wil hopefully get another entry on it soon. 4 now I need to help my mom

That is wonderful that you are trying to things with joy for Christ. I am trying and learning as well, and sometimes it can be a pain, sometimes because it was a pain, the pain stops! What your mom has said is absolutely correct, and my mom would say the exact same thing.

And thank you for commenting my blog!

Sep. 18, 2006 - I love cloth diapers (call me crazy!)

Posted by ThreeLittleLadies
I know your post was not really in a spirit of complaining but in a spirit of finding the fun...that is why I love to read your witty posts...

Anyway, we use both cloth and disposible. Right now my dd is in training pants (and doing quite well, I must add) However, I got into using cloth when we lived at an intentional Christian community that had to haul their own trash into the dump. I love the naturalness of it. The ones I have right now are terry cloth and thick with little snaps. I've never been able to get away from using plastic pants -every diaper cover I have used has always leaked, but plastic pants are fine. I once didn't know any better and used to put soapy water in the diaper pail. By the time we washed the diapers, it was gross! Now we use a dry system and just let the pee dry on the diaper. The poopies get dumped into the toilet. This is only a problem with the breastfed newborns as theirs tend to be runnier. I don't care anymore about the toilet water - it makes me keep my toilet cleaner!! Of course I always flush before this project anyway... I bet you choose real diapers when you have your own babies. It is much cheaper and not really that big of a deal.

Your friend,
Carol

I always think of things I want to blog about, it's just usually while I'm working and can't do it. Then I forget. Maybe I need to keep a pencil and paper in my pocket :-) Anyway thanks again for visiting and leaving a comment!!

I love using cloth diapers. I have been using cloth for 10 months and have only swished poo in the toilette 4 times. It may be the kind of diapers I have, but the poop just falls right off, and if it doesn't , it will disolve and wash right out. You can use rectangles of fleece to line the diapers and just swish those if you must, much easier and cleaner.
It is nice to see a sibling helping with the younger kids and obviously doing it with joy!
