Many Turks are very poor so they eat a lot of beans here (so do we). We don't make our green beans with bacon, though. We make them with tomato paste and rice instead because Turkish people use lots of tomato paste in their foods.

To anwer your question on our blog: yes, Turkish weddings happen at night and they usually start around eight thirty at night and last until two or three in the morning.

Oh, my DC's will love the brownie pancakes! I'm going to try the brown rice and green beans...I usually just do them both the plain, ole way. It's amazing how much a little "flavoring" (like onion or an herb) can make such a big taste difference!

I certainly hope you are eating those brownie pancakes for dessert and not breakfast! Of course, my kids would give me a big giant mommy-of-the-year award if they woke up to that in the morning! :-)

Thanks for sharing your recipes! I love to see what others cook in their house...

Love,
Marsha

Hey there Jocelyndixon, I really like trying new recipes (like from Taste of Home mostly). But I hate cleaning up the dishes so I don’t usually get myself into that mess :)
I didn’t realize that we were so close in age; I will be 17 in a week from Friday. Kind of interesting.
Talk to you later,
Rae
May God bless you entirely as you go along the road of life He has placed you on!

To the lady of light Alatáriël Nienna Elanessë,
I am a seamstress of Rivendell. A maker of Elven fashions and costumes from Middle earth....and the Caribbean with an occasional vist to Narnia.
Right now I am busy making elf dresses and hobbit capes and perhaps a handfull of Rivendell hand bags. My blog is still under construction, but I welcome your response.
Sincerely,
