I am making a new template for my blog too, I don't want to change it, but I think some of the pictures are copyrighted...in that case I can't keep those pics on my blog. :( But I am going to make my own graphics for my next one, so I won't have to worry about copyrights. I actually did have a template up for about 15 minutes that other day, but it had some flaws in the code. I am trying to code it to fit multiple browsers.

Aw, thanks. You yourself sound like a very sweet girl!! It took me a long time to figure out how to customize my template but I love the way it turned out. I chose the bubbles for a back ground because one of my nicknames is "Bubbles" and I think it reflects my personality! :-)

I cannot believe all of the stuff people are saying about you and your family. Don't take it to heart though.....truly, you must know that those who are saying it are no better than yourself, they are actually acting worse than you ever did (not that you acted badly of course....I don't think that at all!!!) Anyway, all you can do is pray for those who despise you.....Jesus said so! :-)

Hmm...something about this most recent controversy seems to have such a different tone - and I haven't even been on the frontlines. Even though we know that there is nothing new under the sun, doesn't it in a strange way make you question humanity even more than before?

Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly people reveal their views on their blogs. Then someone like Chris writes something that, like it or not, is a target for debate (considering that, at least to my knowledge, the most talkative bloggers on HSB have firm convictions against his) - and he can't seem to understand what all the fuss is about. True, the first review you made was harsh - but that's a slip up that is part of being human (everyone - especially me - can be just as harsh with the written word if not worse - those of us that haven't been "caught" yet just haven't written anything publicly - trust me ;-D).

I think you've been blessed to have a unique position on the world wide web. Really, the Lothlorien blog lives up to its name! I know it may sound silly to phrase it this way, but it must be similar to being a royal figure. That doesn't necessarily mean being a perfect role model or authority (who on earth is?), but in being some one that believes and portrays life, truth and faith in CHRIST to be far more important and valuable than the world says it is, and yet to be personable and confident enough to captivate a wide audience that, whether its individuals admit it positively or not, is constantly challenged to evaluate its own opinions of reality. Some people are genuinely antagonistic towards your worldview, but sometimes I wonder if the people that get most offended are those that really just don't like to think critically and get intimidated by those who do. They are the people that seem to think that all the problems in the world are caused by those of us who believe in absolutes rather than wavering relativism.

Oh well...that was a lot of words; I hope they make sense. Haha...I've got to go...

I did not know that you apologized until after I wrote the pm. I am sorry for being mean if I was. I do not remember what I wrote and I delete all my pm's. i just think that Chris was being picked on alot about the whole homosexual thing. I do NOT agree with Chris at ALL but I do think that alot of us could have handled the situation way better. I am not saying that it was just you. There were a few other people that did not handle it well either. I hate to say this but your mother left some smart elic comments or at leaste that is the way it came across to me. Oh, I can't wait to see your template. What pictures are you using? You'll have to get your own (taken by you) for them not to be copyrighted. You know, you can always ask the person where you got the picture if they mind if you use they picture. Usually they'll just ask you to link them somewhere on your blog.

All the LOTR photos I have are for free use from a LOTR site.

My blog fits on IE and Firfox pretty well.

I need to go take some pictures for my new template...
And, I'm really glad you understand about the award. I know Jenna does! lol

I am creating my own graphics for it, I am actually working on it right now. I might get it up within the next couple of days, If I can just figure out how to get it to work on both browsers (IE & FF)...Uggghhh. That is sad that you and your family are still taking punches for your beliefs, when it seems the opposite beliefs must be tolerated at all costs. We are all sinners, none better than anyone, our "works" i.e. even writing, are as filthy rags to a holy God.

There are many things going on with the new "new age" religion that popular music artists are spreading. The homosexuality part is just an outside layer of the onion.

Those who are lost, and who turn away from truth must produce a "false confidence". It looks like true faith, they say it is a gospel of "love", but it's not from the Holy Spirit. Only those who are born from above can understand God's Word and His principles, and the Spirit who lives in them confirms what is right, while Satan deceives the others (as a look-alike), producing many more fake clones (sheep) but without the saved soul.

They may say they follow Christ, but it's not the Jesus in the Bible. And in the end they will be the ones He says "Deprt from Me, I never knew you". This is even more serious than the homosexuality issue, which is just a symptom (bad fruit) of a false gospel.

The question is then when, why and how do we expose sin and shine the light? And who should be doing the exposing? We must contend for the faith by the right method and with the right attitude. It really bothers me when people leave hateful comments. I had to set my comments on moderation because of that. It's sad when people judge you because you're trying to live for the Lord and do what you feel is right for you and your family. You expect it from unsaved people, but I think it's more hurtful when it comes from those claiming to be Christian. Keep living for the Lord! Let Him speak for you.

I'm glad you had a good time with your friend. I hope to someday meet some of the ladies I've had the opportunity of knowing through blogging.

Chris is wrong, and when someone posts something like that they are asking for people to share their opinions. He was the one to inflict his opinions on everyone else in the first place.

Oh, I didn't think your first review was too harsh. I agreed with everything you said. Although, it was very decent of you to apologize like you did, I don't know if I would have had the guts to do that, but I hope I would.

I'm proud of the way You, Amanda (your sister), and Paul have countered him, you all did a very good job. It often seems that he (Chris) takes his beloved Switchfoot more seriously than anything else, I think he needs to get his priorities straight.

I cannot believe what those awful people are said about your Mother (I have never commented her, but I should, and she seems like such a sweet lady, God has truly blessed you and your siblings to have such a Mom). We should always respect our elders, no matter what they are like, and if they are wrong than we should question them in a kind and respectful way.

I could go on and on about how awful all this is. It truly does show who your friends are, though.

I don't know why you're even in the whole Chris-situation in the first place. We were all talking about the Bible and certain beliefs. We weren't being nasty and quoted scripture in a loving-manner.

Chris actually did ask for my opinion/comments when he PMed about the review I left. Then he left my mom a comment, and said she was out of line to tell a 16yr old friend that he was being disrespectful because, both, he and Chris are adults. That's why she said kid.

Chris actually asks for opinions/comments every time he posts, thus the "Post a Comment" button on his blog. If he didn't want people's opinions, then he should take it off. This turned nasty when people who weren't involved started defending Chris and he didn't have to himself.

You did not apologize... you said you were sorry "IF" my mom "thought" you were being disrespectful, and then you said, again, that she was being a smartalec in her comments. I don't know why you can't understand that it would be disrespectful if some 14yr old told your mom she was being a smartalec.

I have the right to delete/edit comments. If you keep posting comments saying, "poor chris" and being disrespectful by calling adults names then I will keep deleting them.

I got over the whole Chris-thing last week! I'm done.
