Thats a really sweet tribute to your dad. And very thoughtful. I have two dads, real and step :) so it would take me a looong time to write one up for both.
Oh you should wait for the slideshow to load up!!! They are very cute pictures!! :) But I'm sorry it's so slow to load.. lol
I would see ANY movie with Orlando Bloom in it. ha! Me and my bffe are biiiiig fans.. She more than I though. She worry's me sometimes! LOL!!!

Thanks for your sweet words. I really enjoyed looking around your blog. I wish I had more time, but will try to come back later.
Your tribute to your dad was inspiring to me as a parent. I thank God for young men and women like you. I'm certain He is raising up a remnant among His people who will not be swept along by the culture, and I think you are among them! :) |

| This is beautifully written. I am sure that your Dad is very proud of all of you. You are striving to be a Godly young woman in every area of your life. I know that is a blessing to your entire family. just think of how proud you dad must be of you. He will never need to be embarrassed or ashamed of your behavior. He knows he can trust you. He knows that you will endeavor to make his load lighter! And you can carry those same attributes into marriage someday! |

Thanks for stopping by my blog (again!)
I meant to get over here for a visit a few weeks back, and forgot :( but I am so glad you came over again. I would love to have you review the e-book on haircutting! I have to fix a few things real quick on it, my friend Gena looked at it and found some problems with apostrophes! I don't like apostrophes! I think I am going to start a campaign against them. LOL!
Anyway, I will get one over to you as soon as possible. In the mean time, I love the idea of a tribute to my father, and will work on that! Your Dad sounds a whole lot like my hubby too. A really special hard working guy. I am going to print out your tribute to read to my kids! Anyway, I wrote a tribute to the lady who led me to the Lord, and it is in the tributes section of the "Gift of Family Writing" by your friend Jill Novak! I hope you can read it. Do you have a copy of her book?
Have a wonderful week!

Yeah, instrumental is awesome. But I also like rock, soft pop, and some others.
That's really cool. I think once I wanted to write articles for magazines. I took a journalism class in co-op and wrote an interview, found out it wasn't quite my style. haha I just love writing fantasy about what God has done for me.
That is nice about your dad. :)

The contest sounds great. I'll compose something about my dad for it. :) Good thing it doesn't have to be super long though.
We haven't seen you or Amanda on the board lately. Do you think you'll be back anytime soon? In August and September we are studying So Much More. It would be great to have you ladies join us.
Love,

Awwww, that's a really sweet tribute your dad! I'm sure he really appreciated it!!
Haha, my dad is good at doing that too...driving really fast then slamming on the breaks when we get to the light! It freaks me out, but it's kinda fun!! LOL!
Oh, my face has tear stains on it from laughing so hard at that video on your homestead blog! I showed it to Cameron and Delaine and they thought it was hilarious too!! I'm sure it was fun! JK!
Hope you have a great day!!

That's a beautiful tribute to your dad, Jocelyn. So, eloquently put into words and thought-provoking. I was very close to my dad, probably the only child who was, and appreciated very much all the things he did for our family.
Love in Christ,

I would love to enter into this contest! And my dad is soooo deserving of something like this! I don't have time right this minute, as we are going to have Bible-time, but I will do it!
Love you!

I was really surprised that I got all three awards! I mean, I'm not really like you, and I, well--you know how that lady who commented on your post said you were striving for God in every area of your life? Well, I'm not, and I need to work on that. Don't be sort of surprised that a lot of people look up to you as an example--you are a remarkable young lady who God is using in a wonderful way! I am blessed to know you!
You say I'm really sweet, well, I have the old nicer-when-you're-with-your-friends-but-not-so-much-at-home problem a lot of the time. It's sad, and I need to work on that. You have made headway in a lot of the things that I am struggling with, and if I met you, I am sure you would be shocked. I don't even feel that I deserve a friend like you! I love you though, so very much....
God Bless!
~Mariel~
P.S. It's nice to have a friend on the blog site who I can confess to. :+) I think I'll start messaging you though! |

Thanks for sharing that. I am too old to enter the contest (he he he) but I did do a tribute to my dad on the past father's Day. Dad's don't get enough credit that is for sure! Continue to hold yours in high regard, you are right that it will one day mirror how you view your husband...blessing to you!

Hey, thanks for your comments...sorry it took me to respond.
I know I should do the contest after all that my dad has done for me, I should definently take the time to do something for him. That was a very encoureging post, I think I need to start puting a little more effort into the thigs I do for my dad (and mom too). BTW...I think I should stop drinking coke and start with tea...LOL
RYC:
Ooooo, "blue on FF but lime green on IE" I wonder how that looked...LOL! HTML can get so confusing! I HATE how IE and FF read things differently!!! I made the template myself, starting straight with the <html> tags...but that is why there are still a lot of things sort out.
OK, enough of HTML (although I could go on forever...maybe not)

I know in our house, the mailman is tied with the UPS man as the person we enjoy seeing. Well, except on the day he delivers us mainly bills.
My dad died when I was only ten years old. I wish I knew him as an adult but I guess having childhood memories are also a good thing.
Your writing is so good. |

Very sweet! I enjoyed reading your tribute to your dad. Mine died when he was only 45 (I was 20) and I've missed him so much! I am thankful for the love of my Heavenly Father, and that I'll see my dad again someday. :o)
