I'd have to say I'm an early bird for practical reasons. Not that I enjoy getting up at 6, it's just a necessity during the school year. I always try to be asleep before midnight. "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."
All of those carnivals sound fun!! I didn't know about the modesty one or the bookworm one. They both sound interesting; I may participate.
TTYL!!

Early bird here! I get up between 6 and 6:30 because my dad and I walk around the lake at 7. His schedule is unpredictable because he’s a realtor, but in the early morning he’s always free. I like getting up early because it makes the day seem soooo much longer. Plus I can get a lot of writing done in the morning. I go to bed around 11.
Gotta go, we’re making salsa at our house today…
Love,

| Well, since I have been on summer break, I have been getting to bed between 11:30 - 1:00 at night, then I usually get up between 9:00 - 10:30 in the morning. I don't know if I'm a night owl or a morning person, because I cannot stay up later than 1:00 without feeling horrible. |

I would have to say that I'm in between! I can be both. I usually go to be between 9 - 11 and get up around 8 - 9. I can be a night owl if need be or an early bird if the need arises. I guess I'm just an early owl or a night bird. :-)
I tagged you. Go to my blog for the questions.

Dear Miss Jocelyn,
I was just about to comment you when you e-mailed me, so I plumb forgot about it!
I added my link to SuperAngel's blogpost. You're right, it is sooo awesome! At first, when I read your comment I was thinking, "What in the world?" but now I understand! Thanks for telling me 'bout it.
I didn't think I was rushing you but I was just making sure...
Thanks for telling me about that entry! That was hilarious! LOL!
Sorry you had to go to the dentist, too! We combined extractions with routine check-up & cleaning, so I don't have to go back 'til next year! YAY!
I saw your past 2 posts but didn't get to comment on them. I liked a lot of your ideas for T-shirts...especially the Narnia one! I came across a blog the other day that was called 'Homeschool Musical'. I'm not too keen on Highschool Musical, but I thought that was kind of a funny play on words...
You have a lot of names! Wow! I've never signed my name 'Miss Kylie'...my name doesn't really match the proper English theme. Ah well... I might have to try it sometime. 'Docininia' was really funny...
Hmm...I would like to start a business, but I really have no idea what direction to turn. I would eventually like to become a web-designer and a writer, too. My cousin & I have a small 'business' in which we sell jewelry and crafts, but we haven't gotten very far. We don't have that much made yet.
Ok, that's long enough!
Love ya too!
Kylie

My dad works at Y-12, which is a nuclear weapons plant in Oak Ridge. Cool, huh? :P
I once played poker with my cousins and uncles for 5 or 6 hours. I haven't been able to do it again, but it was so much fun.
Yeah, my hat is more blue/green than Paulie's. I kinda prefer the red/brown, but they only had one left that fit me. It's still cool, though.
So, what's been up with you?

Ideally, I would be in bed by 9pm, lights out at 10pm and up by 6am.
In my real world, I'm usually in bed around 11pm, lights out around midnight to 1am, and then up at b/t 8-9am.
I'm working on it though. I like the early bird schedule better. So I suppose I'm an in-between! |

when you put it that way, I guess I'm an early bird. I'm usually around seven and I go to bed anywhere from 9 on. If I could I'd sleep much later. Maybe.
Hope things are going well!!! I know you haven't been by the board lately soo you don't know what's going around here lately, but if you could please pray we think we've found a house big enough for us much, much, much closer to our church, and if God wants us to move in it would be perfect. Or, as perfect as a house here on earth can get.
Blessings,

Aug. 16, 2007 - BOO! I am the E-Card Ghost!!! |
| Posted by LadyRachel |
Okay, so most of my life I've been a NIGHT OWL (I have memories of my Mom telling me that when I was real young, and jumping on the bed late at night) and would wake up around those night-owl morning times you mentioned. BUT, I lovvveee early morning, the way it looks, and I try, SO HARD to wake up early. Usually though, I have this weird sleeping pattern, but some mornings at about 5 am, I just automatically wake up. Sometimes I've tried to sneak passed my sister, Amanda, but she always sees me passing by. (It's strange, it's like her eyes are always opened or something!) I like to be sweet and do things for people and get things done in the morning (I have this great feel of power in the mornings!) but usually, I accidently wake someone up. Well, not all of the time. But some of the time. I, for some reason, think mornings are probably the prettiest time of day, and I hate missing them. So, I'm in a strange situation. There's something so majestic about the sun peeping over the trees and hills, and the mist on the lake. Ahh! It's so cool! That's when I grab my favorite books (like the Bible, and other great books) and just read. Sometimes I go outside and climb up into the tree house or the "hunting house" (which is pretty high up!) and look out of the pond. It's an awesome sensation to me...Anyway, I've written way too much. I just felt like revealing my night-owl ways. I've tried to break that...curse! (Okay, so it's not a CURSE.) I've had serious fun staying up late, BUT, one time...When Jillian, my dear friend, was over at my house, we did not get any sleep for about 2 nights (maybe 4 hours from TWO nights combined) and we went...CRAZY. We got a bad case of delirium, and repeated sentences over and over again, and we couldn't break the spell. And then, we rushed over to Amanda, and asked her to help us walk. (Down the stairs...to get a banana.) It was the scariest night. It all started from watching this "ghost e-card" (we didn't know a ghost would come poppin' out in the end) and we NEVER got scared of those things, but it got our heart rates so up fast, and we had been laughing the whole night, that we did go pretty crazy. Ahh...I am SO glad that is over with. That was a real nightmare. Well, the story ended with Amanda telling us bedtime stories. I still wonder, to this day, what she thought was happening to us. It was the strangest thing...
Hm...
Anyway, sorrryyyy this is so long! I just felt compelled to tell that story. I don't think I've told anyone, really, about it, since then! It's actually quite funny now. We started passing my sister's alarm clock back and forth out of delirium. It was going off, and malfunctioning, and so, to destroy the noise (instead of taking out the batteries) we put it in a box, within a box, within a box, and threw it outside the bedroom door. (It worked like a dream! No noise for the rest of the night.) The worst, and probably, scariest part of it, was thinking we heard whispering in the room. Or laughter, etc. We got so dilerious, we started HEARING things. It was crazy! And I got so scared, I was trying to pray, but it was so hard...
But seriously, that WILL happen to anyone who has a long lack of sleep. I am never going to let that happen to me again....NEVA! Haha! The next day was pretty bad, not how we felt, but how everyone LAUGHED at us. (It's funny now, but then it was terrible!) And then, all of our little siblings ran upstairs and wanted to watch the e-card ghost. (They let it play for a long, long time.) And Jillian and I sat in the doorway, cringing each time we knew the little ghost popped up unexpectedly. (Followed by the laughs of our young siblings.) I can't see what was so FUNNY about it anyway. It was SCARY. TERRIFYING. But it was a bit corny. Oh well. LOL!!! Now it's really funny to me now...When we saw the ghost, we screamed, and covered our faces for practically a minute, not daring to look at eachother, and my dad came out trying to figure out what happened to us.
Again, sorry for writing this STORY. I get in the habit of wanting to share everything with everyone. (Hey, wanna' see the e-card ghost? LOL! JK!) Actually, I don't think I've seen that thing since. HA!
Oh dear...I bet I'll discover something I left out until LATER. But oh well!
Well, God bless!
(And may you never get delirious!)

I'm sort of in between {extremely variable}.
Roughly: awake anywhere from 8 - 10 A.M. ~ asleep anywhere from 11 P.M. - 1 A.M.
I'm either remarkably flexible or ridiculously undisciplined. Hey, my chickens are flexible too - after being with us for awhile, they started laying later in the morning!

So much so, in fact, that I had to put my alarm clock on the opposite side of the room to force my self to get up. Circumstances (I posted about that in my blog if you have the courage to look) and time zone change have been attempting to turn me into an early bird. Their scheme is failing.

Your mom could easily give you my answer....I'm a night-owl and I get up early too. Last night fellow Dixon blogger (hee hee) kept me up til 4:20am chatting to OUR hearts content...2 minutes...! It was a very lovely chat though and some nice girl time. I was back up at 7am, and buying groceries at 9am, so not too bad...

I went out to go to bed finally, and I had 2 boys on the floor next to my bed and 1 in it!

I am an early bird, I wake up at 7 everymorning, or whenever I get so tired of hearing my alarm clock and hitting snooze! I go to bed around 10:30, but this morning I woke up at 6:30. I liked that. I wish I could go to bed at midnight ev ery night, and wake up at 5. That would be awesome!!
I commented your mom for the first time today, and she reaplied and said that you were going through a hard time, I am too, I don't know what yours is about, but I just want to encourage you, You are doing amazing things, and you are my favourite blogger. You were one of my first friends, and you have done so much for me without even knowing it. I would like to leave you with Philippians 4:6-7. Even if you do feel alone, God will always be there. Just watch and wait.
