Sep. 28, 2007 - a note from Rose

Posted by Rose
Hello Jocelyn,
Thank you for the comment. That is allright if you don't have time, it was rather long, and like I said, it was I school post. =)
By the way, I believe I'm the first commenter! This is a first for me!
Autumn is a lovely time of year. Although, I'm afraid I prefer winter. I know I'm odd, but I love snow, and Christmas, (and My birthday!!!!) and I love rain and snow storms. We did have some strange fall weather today though...It rained, hailed, and we even had lighting and thunder. Oh, I even saw a blue heron (I could have sworn it was a dinosaur! They really do look like one in flight.)
I apologize for the long ,rambling comment.
Love your friend,
Rebekah Rose Johnson

Ha! I guess maybe I should have explained that. The "devil icon" represents the man the mom left her family for. I always wondered what someone might use that for and I think, in this case, it fits the job description perfectly. ;-) Thank you so much for praying. I'll be sure to post an update when one comes.

Just to be sure, did you recieve the e-mail I sent you concerning your hopechest e-book? I just wanted to check so you don't think I abandoned the project. :-)

I'm going to come read this whole post tomorrow. It's a little late now, so until then!

Ok about your post. I absolutely love winter around here. So cool and nice. You can actually sit outside and read a book or stare at the sky. Fall is not much different from summer, except for the tad bit cooler weather. But winters are very nice in az! ;)

Ok now returning the comments :) Ahhh you didn't do anything to deserve the award. You just make me smile. :) BTW, did my email send out?? Been having trouble with it on the laptop. Sigh...........

I was just at Amusing Reflections of a Country girl reading your post. I do hope you got the comment. I have neevr used Homestead before........... Hmm... Ok yeah can't be that hard..

Love you!
Julia
ps- I say "ok" alot... grr. :)

Hi, I LOVE autumn, except, here in So. Cal, the extent of leaf color is brown. and more brown. The ocassional yellow, but I still love the cool crispness of fall.
I read your goat story, poor you!
RYC: I do have several ideas I want to write about, just don't have the time to really work on them to write them out.

That's true, autumn is a wonderful time of year and yes you can dream (just as long as the dreams aren't tooo long, otherwise your wouldn't remember who you are or where are you, jk). Anyhow, I'm going good, thank you for asking. Thanks for the comment. How are you? The leaves haven't started changing colors around here...yet. The Reds, Golds, Yellows, Oranges, and any color in-between would make a great postcard picture. Winter is also around the corner. I'd preferred the cold because you can always add more layers of clothing, in the summer, you can only subtract so many. Yes "autumn’s cool weather can make one want to curl up with big fuzzy socks and sip a nice hot cup of tea." Those "big fuzzy socks that you were talking about, make sure that if they're Wool socks and you get them wet, you'll be quiet miserable because, Wool sock+water+being on your feet at the same time=your feet will be utterly cold. Ttyl and God bless.

Thanks, it was sad to hear that info. Yes, autumn is pretty. It's started to turn autumn here. Either that or all the trees are just dying from lack of water. lol. It was such a dry summer here. Terribly, miserably dry. Or winter is going to be earlier. God's time but...it would be nice to wait until mid-December so I don't have to drive in to go to school. Just because the local school board calls off school doesn't mean I get off. I will still have to drive in the snow and ice and it is NOT fun driving in it. Not to mention scary. But I do love winter. Even if it is flu season. lol. Good Bless. I liked the Bible verses also.

Thanks! :)

I love your post. I wish I could get to see all those beautiful autmunal colors, but being in Florida... it's still green. Though there are a few trees here and there that turn red. I can't wait for the Florida winter, when everything cools down! :)

Thank you for the birthday wish! My birthday was on Wednsday, so you weren't really late! My mom's birthday is the day before mine, which is kind've neat.

I will try to fix those sidebar problems, but I'll probably end up asking my sister! She is the computer whiz of the family! Thank you for letting me know.

God Bless,
Christine

Very, very true. Thank you for posting that!

Well, hello! How have you been? Very few colours have changed on our trees (better call them sticks. It sounds much more realistic! For that is, as a matter of fact, what they are).

I am fine. Have you seen what we have been doing? http://homeschoolblogger.com/Cornflower/392889/
Well, of course you have! You commented! (which was very nice of you indeed!) We have made MUCH more than those two but, as I said, our camera does not seem to work, so I must wait till our quest of searching for a reasonably priced scanner/copier/printer is completed! LOL!

But I must away, for I cannot stay!
Farewell!

Thanks for you comment! No, it doesn't offend me at all! I'm just so glad that even though we can't agree on *everything*, we can discuss it like mature Christians and listen to each other. I love hearing your opinions on matters, and expressing mine, and I can be VERY opinionated, so I hope I don't ever offend you, LOL. I don't think we really *know* on some matters--either one of us could be right or wrong or maybe both of us are wrong, hehe. But we agree on the "essential" matters, and that's what's important.
Thanks again for getting back to me!

I have to agree Joci. One of my favourite times of year is Autumn, I love seeing the trees change color, Thanksgiving, *cough* my birthday *cough*. LOL.

I have to say that the passage from Ecclesiasties is one of my favourites. Well, verses 1-8 anyway. Sometimes when I'm struggling with something it helps. Like with a particular situation I just thought of while typing this comment!

Hope things are going well for you guys.

Blessings,
Liz

Very beautiful! Sounds quite poetic :-).
As a side note, I think I'll acknowledge that I really can't keep up with the States exploration assignments...my weeks are just too busy! Maybe I'll jump back in later....

I love fall. The leaves changing, the days getting brisk, the days getting shorter. As you know I am a night owl, so when the days get short my creativity grows also.

God appoints the changing of the season, and the seasons of life. It always amazes me that we are so tiny in this HUGE galaxy and God still loves us and takes care of us.

Blessings,

Perhaps it is autumn in the calendar, but it is still summer at my house! We even went swimming yesterday-- how crazy is that? *sigh* But autumn and spring are my two favorite seasons. They just don't ever last long enough!
