THIS DAY IN HISTORY: SEPTEMBER 23rd

AMERICAN'S BURY A BIBLE!

No, it's not as bad as it sounds.  But on this date in 1938, a time capsule was buried in preparation for the 1939 New York World's Fair.  Some of the items included are:

an alarm clock,
a can opener,
eyeglasses,

bifocals,
a fountain pen,
a Mazda electric lamp,

a boys toy,

a girls toy,

a Mickey Mouse cup,

clothing,

tobacco and a pipe,

a baseball,

a golfball,

cards and poker chips,

metals and alloys,

money,

seeds,

and -- YES -- even a BIBLE!

The capsule is buried under a concrete marker in Flushing Meadows.  It isn't supposed to be opened until the year 6939.

Thats pretty cool and a long ways away but. All I have to say is if we dont stop driving these big suv's and truck's around and poluting the air the earth will never be around to see it open.

Ha Ha just kidding id rather sit in a dodge charger with a 454 engine stick it in drive and lay on the peddle and almost feel the frame twist because of the massive amounts of tourqe then drive around in a little electric thingy made of plastic and see it be opened

Ill probaly see you in a little bit
