I'm a John Deere Boy

I'm a John Deere Boy! I have a big collection of John Deere toys that my uncle has given me. When it was sunny, he helped me set them all up. Do you like them?

Then he chopped wood to fit in my truck that goes with my tractors.

I thought that was really neat!

Now you know why I call myself "John Deere Boy", but that's not the only reason. Another reason is that my Papa (one of my grandpas) farms with John Deere's and so my family is just a John Deere Family. My Daddy even has a John Deere mower, but he hasn't bought us any tractors yet. I hope he will someday, then I'll really be a John Deere Boy.

I Went to Mexico

JDBoy at the Dentist

I went to the dentist in Mexico. It was kind of scary. It was also kind of stiff. She was a nice dentist. She gave me pain medication. I had to have one of my teeth pulled.

Snorkeling

I thought this was going to be bad, but when I had done it, I was glad that I had done it. It was fun and I got to see lots and lots of nature under water. I saw a needle fish and blue fish and a puffer fish and some angel fish and some kind of ray and more that I can't describe.

I liked my trip to Mexico!

Winter Colors

This is a sunset. I took a picture of it because I thought it looked pretty to put on my blog. It has purple, blue and slight pink in it. And the trees are gray/greenish-black because it was so dark outside.

While I was outside I heard the camera make noise. I also touched the grass and it was dry. I thought it was going to be wet since we're having flooding all around us, but it was dry where I touched it.

See my mom's blog if you want to know more about our nature study.

Mayflower craft

I got to make the Mayflower. It is a boat that the Pilgrims came on. They went on another smaller boat, but it broke so they had to go on the Mayflower. It was really stormy. One man almost lost his life because the captain told him not to go and get fresh air. Then the man went out and got fresh air and the waves came up and grabbed up him off of the deck and then some sailor-men got a rope and tossed it into the sea and told him to grab it. He grab it and pulled himself on to the deck and got down the stairs. He had swallowed a lot of sea water. Then when they got to shore, he was well again.

Here are some pictures of my ship.

I colored flags on my ship. I also made water for my ship to ride in, but it doesn't stay upright very well.

There is also an inside to my ship.

Leaf Rubbing

I made this out of a leaf. I taped it onto the back of some paper. Then I colored  the top of the paper with a green pencil. Then I traced the veins with a green marker. Then I cut it out.

Pinecone Art

These are some things that I made from nature that aren't usually this pretty, but I turned them prettier by spray painting them. I did this all by myself. We put these on our table for decoration this afternoon.

I hope you like them.

Hydrange

What if this picture was two pictures of the same hydrange, but one is at day and one is at night? This picture was taken in the Autumn. There are all kinds of colors of hydranges: purple, green, blue and pink.

I took this picture all by myself, with mommy's camera.

Tree of Roanoke

We studied the Lost Colony of Roanoke, Virginia.

The carving on the tree helped the English people to know that the people of Roanoke had moved to a different place. But they still didn't find them.

Here is a craft with the tree of Roanoke that was carved on.

I rode a whale!

I got to ride a whale! It was kind of hard to keep myself on because the whale was going so fast. I was scared that I was going to fall off. And I was holding on as tight as I could. Here's a picture of me riding the whale:

My Mommy took this picture with Daddy's camera. What do you think of my picture?
