Aug. 27, 2007 - Frindle and Room One

I'm back!  Did you miss me?

I just finished reading two books by Andrew Clements.  They were Frindle and Room One.

Frindle (if you haven't read it) is about a boy (named Nick) who makes up a new word for pen.  It shows how he came up with the idea, and how everybody starts using it.  I reccomend you read it to see what happens in the end.

Room One (if you haven't read it) is is a mystery about a boy (named Ted) who sees a face at a window of a house that has been boarded up for two years.  I don't want to give it away so I'll just say it is the story of a boy who sees the face and helps the people who are living there.  It is also a good book!  It is not a scary mystery, but it is still a good book.

I love reading and writing (except when it comes to thank you letters).  I am currantly writing a book called Journey of Faith about a 7th grade Christian girl whos dad has a better job opportunity, but if he takes it they will probably have to move.  She does end up moving, but into an area that has a lot of non-Christians who will try to make everybody believe what they believe.  I don't want to put any of it up until I have it all written.

May. 21, 2006 - Kinda like a book report, but interesting

Hello,

I just finished reading two books that I have read before, but I never noticed a few things are the same in both books. The books were Pocahontas and the Strangers and A Lion to Guard Us (Good Books, Short Chapters). [One thing you should know about me that most of my friends think it is really weird that I am limited to reading five books at a time --meaning that I would read more at a time if I were allowed.]  Getting back to my main subject, Pocahontas and the Strangers is a non-fiction book and A Lion to Guard Us is a fictional history book, but there are characters that are the same in both books. For example there is a Captain Newport and a Master or John Rolfe in both of the books.

I just thought that was pretty interesting and wanted to share with you.
