Do you remember when I talked about the book A Picture Perfect Childhood by Cay Gibson? It is a book about picture books. It includes many lists of fantastic books for the younger set. Now, when I say younger set, I mean those that are 10 years old and younger. These books are fantastic.
Mrs. Gibson has started another venture to get us all interested in picture books. She has set up a blog where, each month, she will feature an author of picture books. The featured author for May is Patricia Polacco. She has written such classics as The Bee Tree, Thunder Cake, Mrs. Katz and Tush, An Orange for Frankie and The Keeping Quilt.
