Christmas day was great! My parents came on Thursday and left Saturday morning. Our time was spent just hanging around the house – cooking, talking, playing games, watching TV, and playing with Belle (our new puppy).
The girls loved their many gifts. They got a Wii this year, and we all spent many hours playing all the games.I think Terry is hooked on the golf!My personal favorite is bowling… for now.
Last week, I made a conscious decision not to work at all; but this week, I have many projects I plan to complete while the girls are visiting my parents for a few days.Yes, I am kid-free this week!
Last week, Terry completed the closet upstairs and moved Sarah’s bed upstairs with Rachel’s.They will be sharing the large bonus room over the garage while we use Sarah’s old room as a library/office/guest room. This week, I will be painting that room and moving in the desk, computer, and bookshelves.
Grading tons of the girls’ papers before semester end.
Preparing for next semester at work.
Deep cleaning Camille’s room
A little pampering at the day spa (gift certificate from my birthday in March)
I don’t want the week to fly by, so I plan to pace myself and enjoy the rest of the Christmas season. So, what are your plans for this week?
Today I had my very first yearly mammogram. Now that I'm 40, I consider this a gift to myself. What a joy to live in the days of precise medical technology!!!
I know... I've been a stranger lately. We've been on vacation this week and quite busy. We're having a great time. One of our most enjoyable activities so far was having lunch with Belinda and her family on Monday. What a delightful family! I am truly blessed to have my homeschooling family in my life. I thank God for you all and I pray for you often. Here are a few pictures:
I thought this sounded like fun when I stopped by Janet's blog.
This is what you should do:
1. Go to Your Pictures on your computer
2. Go to the 8th folder
3. Go to the 8th picture
4. Post that picture on your blog and the story behind it
Have fun!!!
My 8th folder was "Camille's Baby Photos". I had folders within that folder, so I chose the first one titled "Camille's Baby Shower". The baby shower was given to me in January 2005. It was on a Sunday afternoon in January 2005 and held at my church in Little Rock. The 8th picture is shown above.
In this picture, Rachel (age 11) and her friend, Haley, posed with one of the cute outfits we received from a dear lady at our church. This was one of my favorite baby outfits, but being a winter outfit, Camille didn't have long to wear it. Camille was born in February, so she wore it very loosely that winter.
This is my place of rest and reflection on my life and my home school. I am Terry's wife and the proud mother of three daughters (16, 12, and 4). Please make yourself at home as I ramble about our school, our kids, my job, my love of sports, current events... you name it! Oh, and by all means, leave a comment so I can visit your blog as well.
