Hi, Y'all,
This was the first thing I taught Lioness how to cook. It uses the slow cooker, so during the time the child is using the appliance, it is cool to the touch. :-) I generally use boneless, skinless breasts--sometimes frozen, sometimes fresh. If you use fresh, it will only take a couple hours on *low* (yes, low, not high--newer slowcooker are a good deal hotter than the older ones.) Anyway, here goes...
Easy Cheesy Chicken
4 to 6 boneless chicken breasts
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 (soup can) milk or water
Cook on low for 2-3 hours (frozen, on low 3-5 hours)
Serve over noodles or rice.
If your Gofer can open cans, s/he can do this entire recipe by her/himself! Smaller Gofers can dump soup after you have opened the cans. Be *sure* to teach your Gofer about food hygiene, especially with the poultry. THIS IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE!!! NOW is the time to teach them about food safety. :-)
Enjoy!
