Sep. 6, 2008 - What Pushes My Buttons
Have you ever noticed this?
You walk up to the elevator and push the up (or down) button. A few seconds later someone else comes along, and even though the up (or down) button is lit up because you have pushed it, they push it ANYWAY. Sometimes they even push it multiple times. It's almost as if they think that maybe you didn't push it correctly or something.
What's up with that, anyway?

I happen to think that to cover for the "awkwardness" of the moment...waiting with strangers...one feels the need to DO something constructive. Kind of like the pause in a conversation that people feel the need to FILL with yapping.
Either that or you did it wrong, Kris.
