Faith, Creationism & Corrie Ten Boom

Corrie Ten Boom
In History Mom and I have been talking about faith this week. We have been studying the life of Corrie Ten Boom, who lived in Holland during World War 2. She helped many Jewish people get food, and helped them hide from the German army. She loved the Lord and tried hard to do what was right instead of what the German's wanted her to do. Her faith in God was very strong.
In Science we have also been talking about faith. I really loved our unit study on Creationism vs. Evolutionism. I learned that Creationism is based on faith and God's word, and Evoutionism is based on false theories of science and man. We studied the break-away theory that says the moon was once a part of the earth, and when it broke away from the earth it left a hole and that is where the pacific ocean is
. Mom and I laughed when we heard that because God says in the Bible that He set the moon in its place, and it wasn't in the earth that is for sure. The astronauts that went to the moon came back and proved that the brea-away theory is wrong because the rocks and minerals found on the moon were totally different than the rocks and minerals found on the earth. But people still believe that the moon was part of the earth.
Science is based on the five senses and our belief in God is based on faith. It was fun learning more about faith. Mom says I wouldn't be able to learn about that if I was in public school. I LOVE HOMESCHOOLING!!

Yes! I made the background myself! Do you like it? I got most of my stuff from mbif.net. It took me a while to figure it out but with help from pianogal86, I finally got my blog up and running! I also helped Singer4Christ (she's my friend Dana) get her blog all good! Do you like hers?

My mom and I talked about having faith last night! There is a coyote loose in our neighborhood last seen behind our backyard, so when my disabled cat, Faith (really that is his name!) who can't walk very well, got lost behind our neighbors house across the street, I was really upset and scared. It happened like this. Our neighbors, who are always bringing our cats over to their house and playing with them, took Faith over to their house across the street, when Faith saw their dog, he ran away back into their woods. And there is that coyote loose in our neighborhood!!!
It was getting dark and there is a lot of woods behind our house and our cat wobbles when he walks and might not be able to get away from the coyote. I was afraid he wouldn't be able to find his way home because of his disabilities and he's never been out of our yard. My mom said that we need to have faith that God will protect him and bring him home safely, and guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next morning, I woke up and Faith was outside in our backyard!!!
