I am so excited! This will be my first TPA Homeschool Convention...actually; it's my first homeschool convention EVER! I have been waiting for years to finally get to go to one of these and this is my year baby!
It is a no-brainer to register early and get a nice fat discount off the admission price. The early registration discount is offered until May 19th. Here's the breakdown of the registration prices:
· Full Convention (Keynotes+Workshops+Exhibitor Hall • Friday+Saturday): Advance $35, Onsite $50.
· Shopping Only (Exhibitor Hall • Friday+Saturday): Advance $15, Onsite $20.
Originally, I wanted to just go for the shopping, but now I am thinking that I might just go for the whole shebang and get myself a Full Convention admission...since this is my first convention and all. :) Oh, curriculum and homeschoolers as far as the eye can see. Oh, just imagine it...
Also, they state that a company called Rhino Technologies will be making audio recordings of each workshop on site and that the recordings will be available only minutes after the conclusion of each session. Great! So, if you miss a workshop, you'll be able to take a copy of it home with you to listen to.
They also have a kids program this year for 6-12 year olds called Adventures in Character. This is $25 per child, but there are discounts for multiple children.
Remember: wear good shoes, get lots of sleep, bring a cell phone and don't forget water! I am so excited! Maybe I'll see you there!
