Hello

My name is Vicki, well, okay, it really is Victoria, but no-one calls me that, so by all means, call me Vicki.

Forgive me for repeating things that is in my profile, but I thought a blog introduction was a nice idea.

I am a single Mom of two wonderful girls, ages 8 and 6. We have been homeschooling for just over a year. I work a full-time job at a residential house for mentally challenged people. When I have time, I enjoy blogging, chatting with friends, reading and doing crafts.

With becoming a Homeschool Nations Coordinator I hope to help new homeschoolers with any problems or questions that they might have. I would also like to use this blog to encourage current homeschoolers. More than anything, I would like to get the word out that homeschooling is possible, even for single moms and working moms!!

Well, I guess that's about all for this time...

Before I go, I would like to encourage you to submit your local support group information HERE for
inclusion on
the TOS state page. It is important for new homeschoolers to be able to find support group information!!

Blessings,

Vicki

Greetings From Your New Kansas Coordinator!

Hi everyone!

My name is Denise and I am your new Kansas coordinator! I have been blogging here on the Homeschool Blogger site now for some time and really enjoy it. I have met some really great people and have found a new way to travel... via my blogger pals' blogs! You are more than welcome to visit my blog here.

I am a WAHM and I homeschool one child who will be starting Kindergarten this Fall. She has already learned to read via the Hooked on Phonics Kindergarten program and we are currently doing the 1st grade program. We will stop that though once I start her on the curriculum I am going to go with. (I am leaning towards either Covenant Home or Christian Liberty Academy.)

I have already begun to update and add some links and freshen up the page a bit... like all the sunflowers?! :) Also, I have added a handy item for certain links from the Snap Shots people. (The little Snap Shot icon is visible to the right of certain links.) It is a really handy service in that all one has to do is take the mouse and put the cursor over the link that has the little icon next to it and a little snap shot of the linked page pops up. It's a real time saver!

I'll be continuously updating and adding information to this page so check back often!

One more thing, you are welcome to submit local support group information here: http://www.thehomeschoolmagazine.com/hsn/info-submit.php for inclusion on the TOS state page.

Sincerely,

Denise
