2. (In the car) Could you put the window down? I need some air.
3. (At a restaurant) I’d like A LOT of ice in my drink please.
4. I’d like MORE ice in my drink please. (They only put 6 tiny cubes in a warm drink after the first request.)
5. (To my husband) Can you drive me to the store?
Explanations:
1. We
don’t really like McDonald’s very much but it is one of three American
restaurants to choose from here (the other two KFC and Pizza Hut). So, from time to time we do go here. Plus,
maybe it’s our imagination, but we think McDonald’s tastes better here.
There are so many more restaurants in the States, I'd be
surprised if we went to McDonald's.
2. We don’t have AC in our van. So in the summertime the windows are rolled down. I can’t stand to have the air blowing on me in a car. I personally think windows are for drive thrus. If you need air – turn on the AC.
3. Romanians don’t like cold drinks, especially in the winter.

5. I don’t drive here. Our only vehicle is a large 9 passenger standard shift van. The streets here are narrow and crowded and most places require parallel parking. Plus
the style and customs of how to drive are different. So if I go
somewhere, my husband drives me or I walk if the weather’s nice. If we had a small vehicle I would drive.
