I lived in Cincinnati until I was in 8th grade. I miss the food from there, Cincy Chili being one of them . I make quite often. (as cheese coneys & 3 Ways)

I cheat thought, I buy the spice packet from Kroger. Shhhhh.... :-D

Thanks for sharing this!

I haven't made my own in so long! Thanks for posting this. DH is a Cincinnati boy, and he got me hooked on Skyline during the 3 years we lived outside Cincinnati. I crave it on cold nights like tonight!

I had an opportunity to try Cinci. chili when I was in college. It always intrigued me as to who was the FIRST person to decide chili needed cinnamon?? It is good, though! :o)

Um, you put cinnamon in there. ICK. I did not like my Cincinn chili last week. It was TOO CINNAMONY. Bleh. But it does sound good without the cin. What about vinegar? What are you trying to do, kill us all? ha

Well, I must admit......... I made this last night and my DH and my brothers didn't really care for it. My kids and I like it. I guess it will be one of those things we'll fix when daddy's away from home.

I am from Cincinnati so this one brought a smile to my face.

It always amazes me how many people have never had it...when I was younger I thought it was everywhere and not just a Cincinnati thing. Didn't even know there was cinnamon in it until I was an adult....so it isn't as shocking as it sounds really. :)

Note to self: I must have my dad mail me some cans of Skyline and Gold Star chili....my 2 fave Cincy chili resteraunts......mmmmm, 4000 miles from home.....my tummy will just have to suffer a little while longer.

3-ways (chili on spaghetti, topped w/mild cheddar cheese) are my absolute fave (but a 4 way...chili, spaghetti, cheese, beans works for me too)!!
