"And Jesus said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old." ~ Matthew 13:52 (NASB)
"Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love {and} peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." ~ 2 Tim 2:20-22
Homeschool Brings FAITH Back Into Education!
Homeschooling by Faith... is believing that God will provide what your children need to learn. Stepping out in Faith, asking Him for a schedule... asking Him what subjects to teach... asking Him what shall my kids learn today...
Sep. 17, 2007 - A place for everything and everything has its place
I have seen over the last month many post about classrooms in the home. What is disturbing to me is several that I saw were ladies stressing out over the fact they didn't have a "good" place for their children to "sit" for schooling. The more I think of this issue the more I am compelled to write this post.
I know several families who don't have a dedicated "room" just for schooling. But, I know of someone who strongly believes that a “special” room just for homeschooling is a must! You know the theory… “A place for everything and everything has its place.” Rather you have a dedicated room or not, being able to school our children at home is a privilege in this country. Ladies, we have freedom! Rather you school in a two-story house or an efficiency apartment, or the picnic table at the park because you lost your house in a fire, God will make a way! Don't be so distracted over a "classroom" that you miss an opportunity of an object lesson to be able to teach your children a little bit more of the Lord.
"Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." (Deuteronomy 6:7 NASB)
In my home, our spare bedroom was our homeschool room! However, when I chose to step out into faith and bring my office into my home (where I belong, in my opinion) I turned the homeschool room into an office. Therefore, I “set up” our school room in our dining room. Only having two usable walls, one side holds a wall time line and on the other side holds a white board for teaching. My walls around the white board are filled with pictures colored by my daughter of items that will be covered this school year. This year we are beginning our year with the book of Acts and have progressed nicely thus far!
The dining room table is the desk. The couch is used for our “read togethers”, and her bed is used for her individual reading time. Our living room floor is great for puzzles, games and movie time!
As far as book shelves go, I have stackable crates (similar to milk crates) along one wall in my office. These crates holds books and things that I have picked up used from book sales, yard sales and other inexpensive outlets. These items will be used to enhance our studies for this year.
A classroom is a place to organize your school materials!! It doesn’t matter what part of the house it is in!! But, it is always best to keep everything together in an organized manner! Being organized is a must in homeschooling!
When I moved, and wasn’t quite set up yet, I felt so lost being unorganized. I didn’t know what I was doing one day to the next! So I am a firm believer that organization is one of the keys needed for a “happy living”, that is after you have accepted Jesus into your heart.
Anyone walking into our home will automatically know that we are “homeschooolers”. For that matter, anyone walking into our home will know that we are Jesus Lovers!!
I pray ladies that it would be everyones heart desire to stay focus upon our Lord more as each day passes. If we keep our eyes focused on Him, then all others things will begin to line up for us. He will do it for us!!
I love reading your comments. They are so encouraging. Your comments allow me to get to know you better and feel a sense of relationship. Please remember to use your manners. If you do not have something nice to say, do not say it at all. Comments that are rude/critical in nature will be erased. Thanks, friends!

EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION
To reach the children of this generation with the true power of the living God to satisfy their natural hunger for the supernatural life before the enemy gives them a false satisfaction of being lovers of pleasure and not lovers of God.
"Tell your children about it, let your children tell their children." Joel 1:3.
