SURPRISE!

After five years of trying, my mom has finally made it.

My mom is pregnant!

If it's a baby boy, I want it to be named Noah, but I have to give up my bed to Alex.  My dad likes the name Ian.  Or Emily, if it's a girl.  If it's a girl, she gets to sleep with me.  And I really want to keep my bed, because I have Strawberry Shortcake posters, and I have this bar with pockets hanging from it that I put stuff in.  And I have a cool reading light hanging, too.  Plus, I like being on the bottom bunk.  My bed is the biggest.  It's a double-size.  But my sister and brother have twin-size beds.

I think everyone else wants a boy, including me.  My mom has a craving for Chinese food, or something.  And healthy stuff.  Grapes, cheese cubes, chips and salsa.  The grapes from the pumpkin patch are really good; they're HUUUUGE!

When I found out Mommy was pregnant, I was crying.  Like, REALLY excited!  Not like sad crying.  Happy crying.

I'm going to be almost 11 when the baby comes.  Alex will be 7.  And Beth will be *sob*... 16!  And, then there's my big brother Stew, who we never see.  He'll be almost 21.  *waaah*  Back to Beth... She can take me to the mall!  Woo!

Bye for now.

Guess This Song

I listened to this a couple times.  It was sooo funny.  It sounds weird in the beginning, then he does it in reverse.  You just guess this song.  It will be great!

I'M A DOCTOR!!!

So, my grandma has to take shots for diabetes...

I ...

got...

one!!!!

And my mom would not look at all!  I was kinda nervous, and excited at the same time.  I asked Grandma if it would hurt.  She said, "Just poke it in."  So, I did.  And I pushed it down all the way!!  It was soooo awesome!

I WANT TO BE A DOCTOR!  HOORAY!

I put my arm around Mom and said, "It was fun!"  ^_^  And then she cracked up.

Trout Lodge

When we went to the Trout Lodge we went boating and fishing .  Everyday we had to get up at 6:30am for breakfast at 7:00 and I'm only allowed to get up out of bed at 7:00am at home .  I was so tired .........but I got over it.  They had some good food.  I liked it.  Lunch was at 11:15 and dinner was at 5:15.  We wore the red wrist bands.  The bands also had our room number on them.  There were white, orange, and red.  Maybe yellow and green.  I don't remember.

We also went geocaching.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketIt's this thing where you use this little GPS and it tells you where to go to get a little prize thing, and inside are some stickers.  Sometimes you had to write your name down, too.  And one time, we found a lizard while we were trying to get a geocache.  I found it.  But my sister got it.  We had to let it go.

I met a friend, named Tasha, at this FBI thing (edit Mom: a class for kids called "Learn to Be a Detective").  We had fun.  We both got our faces painted.  Mine was a crown.  Hers was palm trees and birds.

They had these days for things (edit Mom: Theme days).  Saturday was Superhero Saturday.  I dressed up as Catgirl, and my little brother was Batman.  My big sister was Ablaze, a hero she made up.

Sunday was Safari Sunay.  Monday was Mystery Monday, and Tuesday was Pirates of the Ozarks Tuesday.

There were a lot of counsellors there.  We tried to remember their names: Kelly (from Missouri), Aloha (Brittany, from Hawaii, which is why everyone calls her Aloha.  She calls me her mini-me, or LIttle Aloha, even though she has blonde hair and she almost threw me in the lake once, and I was like, "AAAH!" and I grabbed her leg, and she said, "You're not going in unless I'm going in, are you?"  She was fun.), Mikaela (from England), Angelica (from South America), Huckleberry (Scott, from Kentucky), Jesse (from China.  She was gonna send me a postcard.), Marina (Alex really liked her.  She was from Ukraine.)Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket, Um (from Egypt), Sasha (from South Africa), and Laura (forget where she came from).  A lot of people were leaving the Trout Lodge.  We're going back in the spring.   I can't wait.  It's gonna be really fun, and I'm gonna have to wait all through winter and another ice storm (edit Mom: yeah, like she can predict that... lol).  Last winter, a big branch almost fell on our house, and it broke our gutter.

Anyway, some of the other things we did are: rocket-making,Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket golfing, and we went on a pontoon ride, twice, and we went on a root beer float (I LOVE root beer, although my pappy makes fun of me for liking root BEER!), and we went swimming, because they have a little lake there.  That's where we met Miss Laura.  She was a lifeguard.  They had these three noodle things and I took all 3 and put them under me, and I could float.  It was almost like I was really swimming.  I can't really swim, only under water.  My sister can only swim above water.  We also watched movies in room 5.  We watched Hook (when Peter Pan grew up).  I couldn't stay for all of it. My stomach was hurting.  We also watched Chicken Little.  We made masks at the craft center.  We also made these little spy books.  I haven't written anything in mine yet, but I will eventually.  We went bike riding, too.  We also went bow and arrowing (edit Mom: archery).  My sister and my dad went rifling.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket  We had to stay back from that.  And we went to the gift shop.  My other blog entry says we went horse-back riding.  Here we are:

And this is Alex on a pony:

We had to take our caterpillars with us to the Trout Lodge.  Otherwise, they would have starved to death.

Maybe YOU should go to the Trout Lodge.  Click it!  Bye bye for now!

Hello, blog world

I'm Kari.  I'm in the 3rd grade.  I like playing piano.  I love sports.  Basketball is my favorite one.  My dad, well we... hang on... we say he's a computer- and a comic-geek, and he's very funny.  I love horses.  We went to the Trout Lodge and I got to ride a horse called Hidalgo.  My sister got to ride one called Faith, and my mom got to ride one called Blue, because it has blue eyes.  And let me tell you something else, it was very stubborn.  But Faith, that was the very obedient one, it would follow Blue around this trail we went on, and it never stopped to eat grass.  But Blue did.  My little brother got to ride a pony.  My dad went with him.  It was only like 5 minutes.

My mom has a blog at momwtrmn, my dad's is at dadwtrmn, and my sister has a blog at planetbeth.  I'm the 4th person in the house, and this is the 4th blog.  I love my family.

I have a cat named Pearl.  She is a bad cat, and a loving cat.  She cuddles up in your hair, like at night or at morning.  It's so sweet because she uses her paws, front, back, front, back.  It's really sweet.  You should see her.  She ate a balloon, a pencil-top eraser, and a dime.  The first was the eraser.  She had to be operated on.  Then she at the dime.  It looked funny in the x-ray, but we didn't get her an operation.  The last was the balloon.  She had to eat pumpkin (edit Mom: and Laxatone).  I was very worried about her.  I was hoping she wouldn't die.  I just hope she would stop eating those things.  It's really frustrating.

My sister has a cat named Rainbow that's fat.  She fights with Pearl.  I have to yell, "Hey!"  And that usually scares them off, or I have to run or throw a shoe at them.  And that's how my cat and my sister's cat don't get along.
