Homeschooling Struggles with ADHD children....

Ok so this is my first entry and apparently I was not posting my entries correctly, LOL! Well I have been homeschooling for about 2 months or so and it has been a HUGE learning experience and I feel like I am still in preschool compared to what I know and need to know! My oldest child TR is 9 years old and has severe ADHD. He was diagnosed at 2 and I thought that Dr.s were crazy but unfortunately they were not. My son has been on medication for a few years because he could NOT focus when he was in traditional school and went from a straight A student to a straight F student within 2 months of not having his medication. But I do NOT want him to have the side effects or damage his body in any way at all, so I have decided that since I am (newly) homeschooling I would not continue his medication and help him to control himself using breathing techniques, counting, and other calming techniques. The only problem is I also have a 4 year old son Anthony who appears to be the same as my 9 year old and although not diagnosed he is soooo extremely hyper and unattentive that is makes schooling almost impossible with the two of them together. My other 9, 7, 6 and 3 year olds are being severly affected by the behavior of the other two children that it makes school time very frustrating! I want to do the best for all of my children and almost feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am not sure how to accomplish this yet, but I do believe the Lord will show me and help me through this and give me wisdom on how to handle the children. The other big struggle is that they all want me to sit with each one and help them do each problem and it makes it impossible to get anything done. For example I will explain to the 3 and 4 year old how to do whatever they are working on and give them there pages, books, crayons and etc. Then I will sit with the older four children and explain to the two 9 year olds what to do, go to the 7 year old and then to the 6 year old and try to be available to help each one but while I am explaining to one child the babies (3 & 4 year old) run around the house and the other 2 or 3 keep saying, " I can't do this" and "Mom I need you" and this just sit there and dont do anything! It is so frustrating because I can't get any of them to do there work on their own and I know in school they were not able to have the teacher sit right there with them and for the most part they are all advanced and A or B students. I am not sure what to do to get them to work on their own some. Any Suggestions?????
