Blogging Against My Will

Feb. 26, 2008
Of Cabbages and Kings

I love the way the sky changes. The way it is grey one day and the bluest blue the next. I love how the wind changes the temperature, the clouds, and my hair. I love  when I sneak a cookie and take it somewhere private and savor its sweetness - gloating at my sneakiness. I love laughing. Who doesn't?! I like laughing different ways at different things, and then laughing wholey and unhindered at something incredibly funny. What makes it funny? I've often wondered what makes us laugh at certain things. Why? Why did God make laughter as a means to relax and enjoy ourselves? It's such a strange thing - laughing.

I like to think about heaven. I know some people don't but I do. I love to imagine its gloriousness and awesomeness! One of my favorite parts about heaven is "The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp." (Rev. 21: 23 NIV) The glory of God gives it light . . .

I like watching a movie and crying at the sad parts. I know, I know, it's not real. But I get so into it and can't help being sad when I'm supposed to. The heartbreaking music sure does its job sometimes. . .

Enough of me, in your comment please say something that you like. That should be fun to think of!

Adios you guys (from: The Chipmunk Adventure, which is one of my favorite movies!)                  ~Katalina

Feb. 28, 2008 - I love

Posted by Mrs. D

the way a baby's head smells when it's been in the sun.
I love sunrises and sunsets, the colors and changes.
I love Dan.
I love to kiss baby toes.
I love watching my kids grow up.
I love growing things.
I love a warm tomato from the garden hosed off and eaten with some fresh picked basil while I'm weeding.
I love when the bills are paid and everything balances to the penny.

Feb. 29, 2008 - I love... dew

Posted by cenadunfee

I love frost in the morning. I love inside jokes. I love walking the lower portion of our property and talking to myself and to God until things make sense again. I love my ugly gray sweater. I love smiling by myself because I can't help it. I love sliding wet film off the reel and seeing for the first time what before I could only guess at and hope for in the dark. I love your mom's trail mix.

I love dew too...

Feb. 29, 2008 - Hmmm...things I love...

Posted by Antelope

I love:

The smell of the desert before rain, crying out to Jesus in complete solitude (which doesn't happen very much!), dancing outside on a breezy day, the feel of chilly water lapping against my feet in a river, my mom reading to me out of the Bible, hanging out with my girl friends and spilling my heart out, understanding new things, watching a tear-jerking movie, my two-year old brother kissing me on the cheek, driving in the country with the windows rolled down and music blaring, hiking a tough trail, dreaming, watching fluid dancers...dance, late nights, warm brownies with ice cream, my sister's mischievous grin, the Comfortable feeling of my grandparent's house, working with my dad, staying up all night to SNAKE HUNT... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... reading your blog... =D

Thanks for the comment! And thanks for the prayers.

And thanks for the good wishes - but frankly, I'd rather not "break a leg"!! =D Perhaps there will be more pictures...probably of my killing over when they say I didn't pass...ahhh! lol

It's late again so I won't call you. This morning I went to a track meet in Las Banos and then I drove up the canyon with a car full of girls for Kirsten's birthday party. That was fun. We didn't get home until like 9:30 and we played the hat game and scrabble.

I don't really have something good or specific to tell you. Just stuff, but I want tell you anyway.

Mar. 6, 2008 - these are a few of my favorite things

Posted by Hecat19

I don't sing well at all, so the Julie Andrews thing is TOTALLY out.
Don't get me wrong, a structure fire is a tragic event where a family's lives are turned inside out, and I would never wish for that. But the fact of the matter is.. they DO happen. There is nothing I love more than tearing out the kitchen cabinets. Once the salvagable dishes are removed, we smash everything else to bits and haul it out on canvas tarps. Sugar, flour, cornmeal, Cheerios, it all goes flying EVERYWHERE. The stuff would never be edible anyway, so I don't feel guilty.
I also like macrame. Mr. R was right.
